Behind The Butter

Cocktails & Tacos

Hi!

Whewwwww Texas!

IMG_3927

Thank you so much to all who came out to my little shindig last night. I had a blast meeting all of y’all! We took about three hundred and fifty photos, but I think these can pretty much best sum it up. There were new friends, old friends, puppies, champagne, cowboy boots, chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea vodka. I couldn’t ask for more.

Thanks for such a warm welcome, Austin! I feel like I’ve come home….at least home to the heat and humidity. I hope I didn’t drip sweat on anyone too much last night; this misplaced Southerner has been away for way too long!

I wish I was in Austin! I went last summer with my best friend and the two of us are dragging the rest of our friends there to celebrate our 40th birthdays next year. If you have a chance, some of the best food in Austin is found at food trucks. Two that I highly recommend are The Mighty Cone (on South Congress), and Torchy’s Tacos. I dream about Torchy’s! You can’t go wrong with the trailer park taco and fried chocolate chip cookie dough! Enjoy your time in Austin 🙂
