Morning y’all!
This morning I made a quick breakfast before our bike excursion—2 packets of HempPlus oatmeal with barney butter!

And then we laced up our shoes and were off!!!

I LOVE being home! We took a scenic 45 minute bike ride past our old high school….

And to a little nature preserve called Round Island. Gorgeous!!

Tis a gorgeous day outside….HOT but beautiful with not a cloud in the sky…

There were manatees!

I named this one Nelly π
It was a very hot, sweaty ride back but we both feel better after exercising. I’m about to shower and head to an early lunch with a friend from high school and then Christie and I are going to be 80 years old and go to the 1:30 showing of The Time Traveler’s Wife!!!!!!! Can I just tell you how excited I am???!!
See you in a bit!

August 21, 2009 at 9:56 amI read the book when it first came out and have been waiting FOREVER for the movie…and yes, it was good! I liked it!! You’re truly lucky to have such great friends. I feel like I have no “real” friends since graduating high school and college. Everyone has moved on to their own thing and no one has kept in touch, really.

August 21, 2009 at 10:51 amI went to Round Island SP earlier this year! I loved Vero Beach, too. In general I think Florida is rather built up and crowded, but Vero was so low key and had nice beaches, so glad you’re visiting again!
