Hello!
Currently blogging from Christie’s house, aka my “old house” since I lived here for four months last year during culinary school…..and practically lived here while I was in high school! Memories galore. Before I left for my drive I had a simple lunch of an egg + cheese sandwich (1 egg, 1 slice cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread) with some Pacific brand tomato soup.

And then I hit the road! I LOVE road trips and I also loving driving alone. I blasted all my favorite cds and did tons of deep thinking. Sometimes a three hour car trip is all you need to feel refreshed and anew.
Right when I got “home” Christie and I immediately went to check out the new cupcake store in town. Our friend from high school’s little sister opened the store up and it was SO CUTE. It seriously looked like a cupcake dollhouse and Christie almost had to drag me out.

However we did get a cupcake to share!! This is a Reeses cupcake……omg….the peanut butter frosting could possibly have been one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. It tasted almost like straight peanut butter actually!

We thought we had died and gone to cupcake heaven. After such a wonderful experience we put on our bikinis and laid out by the pool. Ahhhh I love my hometown. 🙂

August 20, 2009 at 10:38 pmI went to school in Philly, and would love the times that I could go back and forth with my car for holidays, etc. Other than the occasional jams on the NJ Turnpike (I usually picked good times to travel), I loved the 4 hour drives, gave me time to pick good music, really groove by myself, and think what I really wanted to think through.
And I’m not a generally a fan of chocolate cupcakes, but now I want one!!
You are always an inspiration, and your beauty in life continues to amaze me.

August 21, 2009 at 10:00 amThere is no “exact” salmon recipe……really all you do is cover the salmon with store bought pesto, grape tomatoes, sliced kalamata olives, chopped red onion and feta cheese and then bake probably at around 350 for 15-20 minutes. Its soooooo good 🙂
brandi
