Typical:

Christie and I have been being our typical silly selves and enjoying every second of it.
This morning I snacked on a banana:

And then met a friend from high school for lunch at The Pearl. I’d never been to this restaurant but it was awesome–there was a lunch buffet filled with great things but for some reason pizza was totally calling my name!

Yuuuuuuum 🙂
After lunch we headed to The Time Traveler’s Wife! Ummm clearly we are 80 because we got there 20 minutes early and were the ONLY ones in the theater……

Awesome.
Movie snacks!

And how was it you ask?! REALLY GOOD! Total sappy chick flick but I loved it. I usually think books are better than movies but honestly, this was pretty good. They left some stuff out but overall I give it a thumbs up.
I’m writing some articles this afternoon and then we are hitting up our favorite Thai place for dinner. Sooooo excited 🙂
Hope everyone’s Friday is treating them well!!

August 21, 2009 at 4:05 pmJenna, would it be ok to prepare your chicken enchiladas the night before then just bake immediately before serving? I was wondering if they would get soggy. I’m planning a party but want to make all the dishes ahead of time…thanks!

August 21, 2009 at 4:14 pmChristine,
I’ve never done that before but I HAVE made them and frozen them…I don’t want to tell you to keep them overnight because I would hate for them to be soggy but I know it works if you assemble ahead of time, freeze and then bake!

August 21, 2009 at 4:21 pmDidn’t The Traveler’s Wife make you cry?? I’m doing it backwards, I saw the movie first and now I’m going to read the book, but the movie had me bawling. As well as every other woman in the theater, I have to say!

August 21, 2009 at 4:22 pmThat’s one of my favorite books ever. Both the book and the movie made me cry my eyes out. And Eric Bana is SO HOT!

August 21, 2009 at 4:22 pmSo weird – my Aunt and Uncle who are from Toronto originally (where I live) moved to Vero about 15 years ago and I used to go there EVERY spring break with my family to escape the cold Canadian winter! It’s kinda funny seeing all of these places that I recognize in your photos from there!

August 21, 2009 at 4:42 pmGood weather always calls for a good time:) I can’t wait to see the movie after your review. I was a little hesitant in seeing the movie because although I loved the book, the movie got pretty bad reviews.

August 21, 2009 at 6:07 pmAww, I should have NOT read TTTW again right before seeing the movie… cuz I was a bit disappointed. But it was such a fabulous book that it’s so hard to ask the movie to be half as good! I left the movie wanting to read the book again (that would be the 7th time, literally, lol) because I was so sad that the movie was over and I couldn’t get enough of TTTW!!
Rebecca
August 21, 2009 at 6:31 pmI need to read that book!! Although I did see Julie & Julia without reading it first and LOVED IT. Have fun at dinner!

August 21, 2009 at 11:08 pmHi! My family has a place in Vero. We always tend to eat at the same three places. The Red Onion, Ocean Grill, and Boardwalk Ice Cream. Do you have any suggestions for when I go down in October?
