Sooooooooo tired. Need my bed. But first, a quick post because we had the most fabulous dinner!
In classic wine country dinner party style, when Anne and I walked into Hardy’s tonight, he had about seven bottles of wine open, a spit bucket on the table and two “special” bottles of wine wrapped up in tin foil for a “surprise tasting”.
Guess what they were….
GEORGIA WINE! That’s dirty south style, for sure. And they actually were really good. I tried both this chardonnay and the cab and actually loved the Chard. Smelled like buttered popcorn and tasted even better! 
We also had another secret weapon at dinner:
Oh yes we did.
So, anyways, we made lamb chops with homemade tzatziki, israeli couscous with meyer lemon zest and feta, carrots and fennel, green beans with lemon, garlic and olive oil…..plus the tots. Obviously.
If you’re eating lamb chops and drinkin’ Georgia wine, you gotta have tater tots! I haven’t had them in FOREVER and they were sooooo good. ‘Specially when you dip them in a mixture of tzatziki sauce + ketchup. Only thing missing was hot sauce!
We had a salad with pressed tofu and balsamic dressing to start:

It all was amazing and somehow dinner ended up being a three hour wine tasting……georgia wine beating california wine!!! I actually didn’t drink that much at all (just tastes of everything), but it was so fun to see which paired best with what.

I commend you on how you are able to function with wine every night! I think that I just need to work on my tolerance! You would think that mine would have gone up since moving to Europe, but it has been the opposite! I’ve got to change that!

I haven’t had tater tots in a really long time. I was actually eying them last time I was in Whole Foods and was very tempted. Maybe next time!

Also have you, or any of your readers, tried Kundalini Yoga before? I just tried it – very passive, but interesting…alot of sitting – so not the Power your used to…but like I said “interesting” – I just did a post on it if anyone has feedback

I love tots!! Everytime I go to Sonic I always make sure to get that instead of their fries

It’s impossible to say “no” to the tots! Dinner looked absolutely amazing. To be honest, I am relieved there is good wine in Georgia. I’m going to have to head to the winery there. Florida wine, is just not that great.

Tater tots actually sort of go with your GA wine to me. I live in GA and all the restaurants/bars serve tater tots. Yum.
Love tator tots! They remind me of elementary school lunches. How do you make the lamb like that? I’ve always thought it looked delicious, but never tried to cook it before!

I was talking to The Boy a few nights ago, telling him that I really wanted some tater tots. I don’t think I’ve eaten them since graduation – and that was almost three years ago! Now I know I need to go buy a bag to dunk into some ketchup!

Now THAT is an awesome dinner. Too many wonderful things involved to touch on. Though I will say, some of my fondest memories from childhood include the tater tots served in the cafeteria. Also, that particular side was one of the few food items that was actually yummy. Ha.
