Good morning!
I finally got my act together this morning and went out for an early 8.2 mile run. Technically, if I was sticking to my training plan, I should have done 11 miles but since I don’t know this area at all and have to be on my feet all day long working, I just decided to do 8 instead. Call me slacker.
I’m totally going to get rocked by this half marathon. However, I must admit how absolutely AMAZING it is to run in nice cool, crisp weather with no humidity. I ran back and forth down this trail behind the guy’s house and it was soooo gorgeous. I looove it all!
Before I left I had a Nature’s Path Optimum energy bar and then when I got back I had oatmeal with greek yogurt, apple, honey, cinnamon and almond butter. Unfortunately there was a little mix up in the memory cards though and the pictures were lost. Don’t hate me, please! I think you all have seen enough oatmeal pictures though to last you the rest of your life, no?
I did enjoy a lovely cup of coffee in my new mug!
I saw this mug last night at Bovolo and knew it had to be mine. I love the color!
So today I am pouring wine all day at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair. Tons and tons of wineries will have booths there and people just walk around and try different wine and food. It seems like something I would want to GO to, so hopefully working it will be fun as well.
Trying to pack and prepare for my trip to NYC tomorrow as well….I can’t believe I’m getting ready to fly BACK across the country again. This is insane.
I shall return!

Have fun today! Kudos for getting out there and running…it must have taken a good amount of motivation to do that!
Yay for long runs in cool weather! They’re the best.
Good luck with your jetsetting!
I love the mug! I’ve said this a million times but I am so jealous and happy for you (at the same time) that you live in California now! Living in Cali has been one of my dreams for a while and I am living vicariously through you! I love reading your posts! They make so happy!
Glad you had a great run and have fun in NYC!
Have a great day!!
Nice mug! Don’t worry – I don’t hate you because you don’t have a pic of your oatmeal … I will let it go (this time
Have a great time in NYC!
Cute mug!
I love that mug! And I’m envisioning (read: envying) your wonderful running weather. NYC is cold and rainy. Womp womp
Love the mug.
Also, 8 miles is awesome!
Have fun!
Love the mug.
Also, 8.2 miles is awesome!
Have fun!
Great mug!!
Hug n.
I enjoyed a nice “kinda” run this morning in the awesome weather too! Not that long as I’m only a beginner but I’m getting the grip of it, I think.
Enjoy your day!!
8.2 is nothing to be ashamed about
good job with the run this morning! i would DEFS NOT call you a slacker jenna!
have fun working today
jenna
Only 8.2? Why get up in the morning? Just kidding, great job!
Have fun! If you have to work on a Saturday pouring wine sounds like a pretty good way to do it!
ur doing a great job hangin in there with all the craziness life is throwing at you right now! ur positivity is infectious!
Congrats on the run! 8.2 is amazing- and so is being cognizant about what’s going on in your life instead of h-core sticking to a plan.
Coffee cup = Amazing
Have fun in NYC – you are such and inspiration for managing a totally hectic at full speed life!
8.2 is amazing – and kudos to you for being cognizant of what makes sense for you versus sticking h-core to a training plan.
The mug = amazing (although I would probably be a total hypocrite and drink my South African tea out of it haha)
Enjoy NYC – you are such an inspiration for rocking an intense, hectic high speed life!
Ahh! Green is my favorite color…I totally want that mug!
Great job on the run. I did the Fort 4 Fitness 13.1 in Fort Wayne, IN last weekend with a not too shabby time of 1:42. I know what you mean about having time to train and just fitting everything in. You’ll be great in the race, though! It always amazes me how much more energy I have on the day of. Have a great day of pouring! Wish I were one of the lucky ones tasting:)
Jenn
Have a great weekend. Sounds like it is off to a good start already.
Cute mug!
Glad you had such a great run!
have a fabulous day!
Slacker, yeah right
That sunset is beautiful and those pictures are very artistic! You probably mentioned this earlier, but what are you going to NYfor? Fun times I hope!
Have fun today!
Don’t worry about the ‘shorter’ run. You are out having the time of your life, 8.2 miles is still awesome!
You are one busy bee!
Great mug!
What a wonderful fun that you did!
you will rock that half, don’t fear! Have fun today pouring wine, i think thats such a find job! So jealous your heading to NYC, so exciting girl!
Adam is so handsome!
Gosh you two would make a cute couple!!
And Rocky looks adorable too
You are most certainly not a slacker! It takes time to get your “ducks in a row” and so what if you don’t completely dominate at the race? It’s not about you… right!?!
That mug is divine. I love it!
Hope you had a wonderful afternoon of pouring wine. Sometimes it’s fun to be on the service side of things cause you get to see so many people enjoying the experience.
I hope the wine pouring went well! And I totally agree on the weather…it’s gotten so nice here in NorCal in the past few days!
I’m so glad I just found your blog and digged into it a bit. I too am a healthy lifestyle blogger and am participating in Team in Training! No worries about not getting the 11 mi in today…I was scheduled for 10 mi and only got 8.6 in because of doing the Race for the Cure 5k (ran to and from it with one of the coaches, plus achieved a 5k PR). Congrats on your fundraising, excellent work! I obviously need to get some tips from you
You’re an inspiration!
You’re definitely turning into quite the traveler! I’m so glad you were able to relax with a run today. Glad the new environment is suiting you well.
I tasted today at Jacuzzi in Sonoma – a MUST go! They have some delicious wines (and I couldn’t help but buy a case).
8.2 miles is still great! You’d be amazing how far endorphins can take you on race day! I ran my first half marathon on a whim and had never done more than 7 miles and lived to tell the tale.
“Slacker” for running ONLY 8.2 miles? lol
Doubt it honey!
Be proud! That’s an awesome distance!! You’re post-run meal sounds DELISH!
Nice job on the run! That mug is so cute. You’re right – the color’s awesome!
Sounds like you’re settling in pretty well, despite all that’s going on! Have fun working the festival!
man, please don’t move out: Adam is HOTTTT!!!!!!! you’d be so dumb if you wouldn’t at least TRY dating him
please go on a date with adam
Jenna–let me know if you want any tips or hints about NYC!!!
Hope you’re first day of work went well.
Oatmeal photos NEVER GET OLD Jenna.
Sounds like a great run! And I adore that coffee cup – so cute!
slacker? no way! you are one busy girl. have a great time in nyc- can’t wait to hear about it!
I just came across your blog…
I really enjoy reading it!!
totally loving the mug!
I want that mug!
You are not a slacker with 8 miles. You need to think about it as you did what you needed and not what you were “supposed to”. Good for you!
Hopefully you don’t get too jet lagged with this trip. YOu just adjusted so take good care of yourself.
Rocky goes to the same school as me! woo NU
Love the mug! I’m so happy (and slightly jealous) that you are transition to Cali so well!
And no worries, I’ve seen oatmeal…a lot!
PS. Love the new header!
