It’s still not too late!!!!!
….for another peach cobbler recipe, that is. I’ve still got one pinky toe in summer since temperatures are in the 90′s all week here, and there’s still peaches to be found at my favorite road-side fruit stand.
This peach cobbler recipe is different from the rest because it has an almost sugar cookie-like crust that tastes unlike any cobbler recipe I’ve ever encountered. And as much as I love my own recipe, after making this once I have to say it’s my new favorite. There’s just something so quaint and old fashioned to it….like, it makes me want to pour a cup of tea and snuggle in with an epic world war two novel and Dexter by my side.
…or something like that. You catch my drift.
I made this a few weeks ago to take to a friend’s house for dinner and I have to say, I was “that guest”. I totally took the leftovers home with me just so I could have a bowl of this for breakfast the next morning! Who does that????!?!?

I have a potluck coming up this week – a cobbler sounds like just the thing to make! Very seasonal too. Do you think it can be made with a mix of peaches, plums, and apples?
Hahah it’s perfectly acceptable to take a doggy-bag at home, even if it contains the remnants of what you walked in with
!
Jenna it looks sooo good. I love cobblers and crisps and I vividly remember your other cobbler recipe (I will never forget seeing biscuits on cobbler…not something Ive ever done!) so for you to say this is your new fave, that’s big!!!
This looks and sounds like something that I’d just want to eat the crust! I’d consider moving on to the peaches if the crust was gone and I was desperate. And then I’d make more crust…
Ooh yum! I love cobbler and apple cobbler is one of my favourite fall-y desserts. Like you said though, it’s not too late for more peaches! Heading over to check it out now!
Nothing wrong with being “that guest” once in a while! Although if I were the host, I’d probably sneak into the kitchen and snag a piece for my own breakfast before handing you the leftovers…
I’ve always wondered what exactly a cobbler was. A guess kind of like a pie? Peaches look great.
I love the idea of a cobbler topping that tastes like sugar cookie!
I just adore your photography Jenna. You prop things so well and take the most awesome camera angles
I’ve never been a big cobbler fan but this looks DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing!
I think the best thing about this cobbler is the title.
This looks so fabulous! I love peaches.
Mmmm that cobbler crust looks out of this world!
This cobbler looks so good!! And I too have been the guest who brings home some dessert. Oops!
It’s gettin’ to summer down under, so I wholedheartedly approve of this recipe! Hurrah!
I am heading over there now! This looks fab
I love cobblers — really anything with a biscuit type crust is amazing in my mind.
Peach cobbler is my favorite! THis looks amazing!
Maybe I can bring summer back in New York City if I maje this cobbler?
That picture of the sugar being poured in is my absolute favorite part of this post. Incredible.
That’s funny I posted about peach cobbler recipe this morning too!
Great minds think alike. Yours looks great!
I love cobbler. It is one of those dishes I always see at family reunions, but almost never make.
1. That cobbler looks & sounds delicious – I love the idea of a sugar cookie-like crust!
2. I’m jealous of your weather… I think I need to move to a state where there’s not a ‘true’ winter (like not Ohio!)
Looks fantastic.
Did you go to the retreat? Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
This looks amazing! Especially that crust … sugar cookie like? Yes, please!!
I would recognize that cobbler anywhere:

Been making it for years
I have no shame in taking home leftovers… Some people are just too polite:)
HA! i have definitely taken home my own leftovers before
yum peach cobbler is the best!
If I made something delicious to give to a friend I would probably take the leftovers home with me too. It’s hard to give it all to other people when you want more. Thanks for the cobbler recipe I’ll definately have to try out your cookie like crust!
Mmmm.. I want to make this before the peaches or nectarines goes away with fall around the corner.
Excellent timing on this. I mistakenly ordered 3lbs of peaches in my produce delivery this week instead of peaches. I made this cobbler for lunch dessert – OMG. Love the topping, and my mediocre peaches became sweet & juicy.
Ok, this is like food pron for my husband….his most favorite thing is peach cobbler!
Bookmarking this recipe… Thanks!
xoxo from Trinidad
LOL “That guest” Been there, done that!
Wait…you’re not supposed to be the guest who takes their dessert home so you can finish it for breakfast? Oops……….
I have a recipe for a blackberry cobbler that is similarly different (wrap your brain cells around that one) in that it has an almost pie-like crust. Thinking about it now, I bet it would be equally delicious with peaches, though…
yummy! As much as I love summer, I must say that I’m more excited for fall food. Stews, soups, warm and hearty meals…can’t wait!
