Hi guys
Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday. This morning we attempted to surf but alas, the waves were not as good as we expected 🙁
It was still beautiful outside though. To me, the ocean is almost spiritual and draws me near to God. I love having awesome conversations with Him while splashing in the waves.
Lunch was leftover shrimp, chicken, veggies and rice from last night. Loved this meal even more the second time around!
Grilled pineapple might be one of the best things ever. Seriously.
This afternoon Christie and I relaxed by the pool. It was lovely. Tomorrow we start our four day “job” at the cupcake store….should be interesting!! Things never fail to be interesting when we get together, regardless.
I snacked on a piece of toast with barney butter and preserves—
Today we also did a little shopping trip for the next few days to get some necessities—
Semi-homemade pizza for dinner!! We used the whole wheat crust above and topped the pizza with leftover grilled veggies. I made a spinach salad also with olives, feta and cherry tomatoes. Twas quite the romantic dinner for two 😉
Delicious.
So, I’ve started to host my images through Flickr to save bandwidth and Adam’s server since he is still being kind enough to host my blog after the meltdown a few weeks ago. Let me know if you can’t see the photos or if something is malfunctioning. If this works it could be a life saver!
See you in the morning!

And I agree with the waves, or any beauty in nature like that, always making me feel closer to God.

August 23, 2009 at 8:42 pmPictures came through perfectly! Sounds like you girls are having a great time just having fun together. There’s nothing like girlfriend time . . . BTW, what kind of camera are you using? Pictures are great! It’s funny, but after following your blog for a while, I find myself thinking about taking pictures of my meals, which I never did before! We also find ourselves trying to make whatever we fix (big or small) look better before putting it on the table 🙂 All thanks to you!

August 23, 2009 at 8:57 pmThose pizza bases are my Wednesday night life-saver – so much cheaper than ordering in and you can control the toppings! Yours looks really good!
I agree with being by the ocean and feeling spiritual. I grew up in the country and we were only there a couple of times a year, so I really appreciate it. One of the coolest things I have been able to do at the beach so far was horse-ride bareback in the water – amazing!
Good luck with your cupcake job!

I wish I could go surfing, but I think the Puget Sound is a little too cold and uh, has no waves. Looks like fun!

August 23, 2009 at 10:52 pmHaven’t tried grilled pineapple yet. Have you tried grilled peaches?
Slice, brush the cut sides with just a touch of olive oil, and then dust them with just a touch of cinnamon and/or nutmeg before grilling.

August 23, 2009 at 11:08 pmI agree on the grilled pineapple – Yum!! I always forget how much I like it until someone else mentions it though!
