Leprechaun Juice

I celebrated the holiday with a big green beer in a water bottle!

IMG_5016

Just kidding. Actually I made some leprechaun juice with kiwi, celery, kale and parsley. You know me. 😉

Snack this afternoon was a glo bar:

YUM….it kept my hunger at bay all afternoon!

And then I actually did go have a beer with Rocky but….it wasn’t green. I think it was a Corona. Aaaand I only drank half. I feel so old right now! I think my craziest St. Pattie’s Day took place my freshman year of college…I remember it being a Wednesday and I felt so cool for going out on a school night. Ever since then though I’ve always worked on the holiday or been in school. Somehow St. Pattie’s Day just is a lot cooler if you are in college… or live in Savannah.

Had a late dinner of soup re-heats + a whole wheat wrap. This soup was even BETTER second time around (let’s hope third and fourth time continues the trend):

Right after I ate (literally, five seconds after), I was hungry again and needed something sweet.

Nothing a toasted Vita-Muffin topped with peanut butter can’t fix. So good. Wish these vita-muffins weren’t so darn expensive!

I haven’t written a WORD today so I’m about to take a bath, rewind a bit and then hit the laptop for awhile. Tomorrow I have a super fun day planned that includes picking up a friend from the airport and then eating all of San Francisco. Oh yes.

Night!

I’ve never actually gone out on St Patty’s Day…always working or totally busy with school. Love your green “beer”! Totally agree about VitaTops, they are super expensive here (work out to $1.50-$2/each)

I had a chocolate pb tooth tonight and that looks fantastic. I couldnt decide so I had vanilla fro-yo with a pb cup and frozen berries. That didn’t cut it so back to the freezer for bowl number two with melted PB and chocolate covered cacao nibs…HIT. THE. SPOT!

That soup looks great! I’m a sucker for any kind of soup. One of my favorite meals, even in the summer. I too love a good whole wheat english muffin topped with peanut butter when I have a sweet tooth. Yummy!

I’m new to your blog, you’re quite an inspiration! I’m enjoying reading.

I always need something sweet less than 5 minutes after dinner. Sometimes it is just a few strawberries, or a banana, or a handful of dried fruit. For some reason, once I eat the sweet, I am completely satiated and content. It might be phychological, who knows.

I’m very impressed with all your juices – kale/celery juice sounds just too scary for words to me (I hate celery) but I bet it packs a great vitamin punch 🙂

Have you ever considered buying the vita muffin mixes instead? When I could eat gluten, I bought the mix and though I don’t remember how much they were, I remember it being about a quarter of the price of the pre-made. You can buy them on their website and just add water and chocolate chips, I think,

I love your new green juices!

I don’t think I’ve had a crazy Saint Paddie’s day yet, I’ve just never felt the impulse to go nuts on that day. The giant parade ate up the busiest chunk of Manhattan today, making it a huge pain in the a** to get around. That alone just left me sort of annoyed with the holiday…and I’m Irish!

I like the sound of your plans for tomorrow! San Francisco is a foodie haven fo’ sho.

How do you remain productive and focused when other things get you down? I feel someone else is always distracting me or bringing me down, and its hard to enjoy and just relax with things.
Like even when I just want to read a novel, or perhaps try and write a little, or anything…I get “dragged” down by someone else who takes the joy out of any of the fun stuff. And its hard to avoid. Even writing becomes impossible because I feel the joy is stole from it.
So do you have advice about how to stay positive and completely inwardly focused?
