A “Blasty” Night :)

Mmmmmm dinner was SO good and fun!!! It had to be fun, it’s 12:15 and I’m JUST getting home from it! 🙂

All the girlies were fab, of course and we all have so much in common! Caitlin, Erin, Meghann and I were there first so we waited in the bar and I had a glass of pinot noir.

And then Gina and her family got there! She’s so sweet and so was her aunt, cousin and friend. We all had a “blasty” in Gina terms! Immediately upon sitting down, we ordered another bottle of the pinot noir and some flatbreads for the table. Check out this monstrous one!

It was a delish tomato basil one with provolone. Here was my slice (I was starving!):

We got to chatting and sipping out wine for awhile then finally got around to ordering our food! To start, I ordered pretty much the most delicious thing I have EVER had. A single goat cheese ravioli in a light tomato broth:

I shared a teensy bit, but mainly I just stuffed my face. I couldn’t help it. It was freakin’ a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

For my entree, I copied Gina and ordered the Mediterranean Shrimp Salad. Delicious! Huge! I was shocked at how many lovely little shrimpies they packed on this salad. It also had feta, chickpeas and spinach in it 🙂

Throughout all of this I consumed about three glasses of wine. One at the bar before dinner and two (or two and a half…..) during dinner. SO fun!

And then desserts came……..I was in heaven!

My portion:

On the right is a carrot cake with rum glaze and cream cheese frosting and on the left is the beloved chocolate peanut butter mousse. I basically licked these shot glasses clean.

And then Gina surprised us by bringing out goody bags!

I haven’t tried anything yet but there are vegan chocolate AND blondie macaroons as well as her homemade whole wheat banana bread. Drool!!! Thanks to the Fitnessista! 🙂

And then to back up to my afternoon…..

I ended up just running 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill today. Orlando traffic is horrible any day, but just the thought of it on a Friday was giving me a headache. As much as I hate the treadmill, I hate traffic more. After I ran, I changed into my bikini and laid out by the pool for an hour. But not before making a creamy and filling protein shake! I needed the fuel since dinner wasn’t until 8:30! I used:

1 scoop chocolate protein

1 cup vanilla silk

1/2 banana

tons of ice

It tasted just like a milkshake!

So, confession—I just CANNOT STOP picking at these cookies!!!!! I think I have picked my way through almost two of them today. They are just so pickable. Haha 🙂 I need someone to come over here and eat them!

Aaaaaaaaand I’m about to hit the sack hard with my furry monster. What a fun night filled with friends, laughter, good wine and food! Can’t complain!!!

Oh gosh those desserts look absolutely incredible. I love that they’re served in shot glasses so they’re slightly less “guilt-inducing.” That last picture of you all is so beautiful!
