Behind The Butter

a december ditty

December was fun, but now it’s time to go.

Our time together sure didn’t go by slow!

We skied, we danced and we made great friends.

After all the cake balls I ate, my stomach now distends.

And then just last last week, I boarded a plane.

Headed back down South…I can’t complain!

California is nice, but way too cold.

Though it snowed here in Savannah (from what I was told).

I’ve already read two books on my kindle,

and sadly, let my bank account dwindle.

My love is busy in Texas, making some gumbo.

But, alas, he arrives—the day after tomorrow!

Hilray, the song is Ever Lasting Light by the Black Keys. I recommend you go to iTunes right this very second and buy the whole album. It’s really good.

    This is very cute Jenna.
California is cold? I’ve always thought Calif. was super warm.

I tried something new today and added a can of sardines to my lunch. I was wary – but figured I would be adventurous (like you) …that’s my way of being “risky”.

You snowboard like I do! Well, I haven’t been on it in six years, but still. I think maybe twice I was able to go on my toe edge, too, but it was hard and scary. So much easier to stay on your heels and ride down like a sled. And that scenery is so gorgeous. Love Lake Tahoe 🙂

So glad Adam will be joining you ASAP! Can I ask – did your parents leave Florida completely? Weren’t they still living there when you moved last fall?

This is so fun!! Where are you going, where are you going?!! HAHA I thought you were going to crash but you held it together! I’ve only done the ski route… I don’t have the guts to try snowboarding yet… something about your legs being fixed together by a board. I just can’t get over that!

Have fun with Adam!! Can’t wait to see what kind of crazy adventures you two get into in GA!
