Breakfast/ Lunch

A Meaty Day

**Excuse me for the lack of photos, my camera is feeling a bit sick!! I’m SO sorry!**

I feel super refreshed today after a good nights sleep. Thank you so much for all the recipes submitted, I cant wait to show everyone the new recipe book, so many things I cant wait to make!
Well, after skipping eating meat for the last month, I have had incredible cravings for meat today!!!!!!!! For breakfast my manager gave everyone a choice of breakfast bagel today, so I got a whole wheat bagel sandwich with eggs, cheese and bacon!!! Mmmm was it ever good, the cheese melted perfectly into the eggs and the hickory smoked bacon adds a delightful taste, makes me think I’m crazy to have not eaten meat for so long. It won’t be something I eat all the time but I couldn’t help myself today! (Ryan was so excited when I told him about my breakfast as you can imagine)
For lunch today I met the boy in St. Pete. He started with a new company today and I wanted to meet him for lunch. Since he already made up his mind where he was going before I told him I was coming, we went to Tijuana Flats for lunch. I couldn’t help myself, I have been craving meat so badly, I went all out and got the Combo special of a Pork Burrito and a Pork Quesadilla along with some yummy black beans and rice. It was soooooooooo good! I love all the different hot sauces they have like Smack My Ass Sally!
Tonight we are cooking up the turkey that Ryan and his friend got hunting this past weekend. Normally I don’t like the thought of hunting, but I guess its okay when you only take what you will eat. At least thats how Ryan explained it to me, and I guess I can understand, plus I am excited to see what wild turkey tastes like (not the whiskey version, had enough of that in college!!!!!!).

PS. Happy Birthday to Ryan’s mom today!!

I call April Fool’s as well. You might have gotten it by us with one of those meaty items, but all of them?!?

As for wild turkey, if you do ever get the chance, so much tastier than farm raised, and you can’t get any more free range than that either.

i thought this post was totally serious until I read the comments. I’m guessing now that it was an april fool’s joke? is it bad that i see no problem with eating that much meat in a day? 🙂

Megan – Nothing wrong with eating that much meat in a day, but she went the entire month of March eating no meat. That much meat could make her SICK SICK SICK!

2 summers ago at my local farmer’s market, there was a booth of all hot sauces! Jon LOVES all hot sauces, so I bought him a present—Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally Sauce! We have joked about the name for almost 2 years now….How random that you mentioned that sauce today on your blog?!?!? He actually liked that sauce 🙂
