Good morning!
I’m proud to report to you all that I have successfully finished all of my culinary classes!!! Wine and Cost Control starts on Monday but that’s a sit down, lecture class so I sort of already consider myself done. =) It’s pretty crazy to think about everything that has gone on in the past year…and to wonder what I’ll be doing a year from today!
Here’s Cathy and my sugar centerpiece:
Chef REALLY loved it and it is actually going up front in the admissions office’s window to be on display! A night ending to school, I think ;). We were going to do kitties and yarn but that ended up being way too difficult so we settled on this campfire scene.
Chef made me this cat though:
And now it’s sitting in my kitchen.
Last night I snacked on this bar:
But oh my gosh, it was totally disgusting!!! I was shocked because it’s kashi. Really gross. I ate it because I was hungry but I will not buy it again…
And this morning I woke up ate half a clif bar and went for a run!
I ran for 2 miles and it was really great. My legs and shins were a little sore at first but after I warmed up, I was fine. I didn’t listen to any music and instead really focused on my breathing, my posture and my “chi”. I let my legs relax and just concentrated on picking up each foot, one at a time. Surprisingly, I made a really great time!
Time: 17 minutes
Distance: 2 miles
Average Heart Rate: 175
Max Heart Rate: 201
Calories: 238
When I got back, I stretched, iced and made breakfast. I had 1/2 cup multigrain cereal (made with 1 cup water) with half a banana, a tbsp of flax, a spoonful of almond butter and a chobani!
I’m driving up to the game today with Miss Caitlin and her future husband! I think we are leaving around 12:45 and we are meeting Ryan there. I’ll be having lunch at home before I go so I will post again after that!

September 6, 2008 at 2:14 pmI am amazed at how awesome your sugar piece looks! Excellent work, if I just encountered it in a display I’d assume it was done by someone who had been doing sugar pieces for quite some time!

September 6, 2008 at 3:36 pmHey jenna I wanted to let you know that they make mini clif bars now and I get them at Target they are great for a prerun snack so that you dont have to eat just half of a clif bar and then store the rest like I used to do in the mornings. Just thought you would like these!!

September 6, 2008 at 4:13 pmI actually like yours way more then the Chef’s! A wine class would be so much fun, my University offers a semester wine class that I’m thinking about taking, but at 250 a credit hour I’m not sure I want to pay $750 to learn about wine, I could take several wine tours for the much 🙂

September 7, 2008 at 2:03 amJenna, gorgeous!!
May i ask quickly, what sort of multi grain hot cereal do you use? I read that multi grain is a good choice for breakfast as a nice change to oatmeal!!!
Thanks!
