Breakfast/ Lunch

Ahhhhhh!

Hi guys!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I would be totally lying if I told you I wasn’t running around like a chicken with its head cut off right now. Reality has started to sink in and there’s just SO MUCH TO DO! On top of it all, I’m about to part with my Sammie 🙁

IMG_3614

Awwwwwww I got this Honda when I had just turned 19 and it has seen me through Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. Countless road trips, spontaneous adventures and good times. So so so many memories in this car….RIP Sammie!

In it’s place, I’m hopefully about to trade it in for a 2009 white Honda Civic which will be shipped to me in Santa Rosa next week. I’m naming her Abby 🙂 There’s just no way in the world Sammie could make it cross country….poor, poor Sammie.

Let’s see….what else have I done today? Oh yeah, I ran 10 miles!

IMG_3611

Wooooowwweeeeee!!!! It actually was a really, really good run and I just tried to soak it all up since I knew it would be LAST! I used the Galloway method the whole time (per advice of the athletic trainer I saw last week) and did a 5:1 run walk ratio, finishing in 1:44. My shins actually didn’t bother me at all and I focused the whole time on alignment. Before I left, I ate a peanut butter sandwich and while I ran, I drank gatorade and then around mile 6, and then 8, I ate Annie’s fruit snacks! The sugar really did make a difference in my performance and I was able to keep up a steady pace and make it without hitting the wall or anything.

When I got home I ate the only thing I could find…..fast!

IMG_3613

a HUGE bowl of Nature’s Path optimum cereal in skim milk. We didn’t have any bananas or any fruit whatsoever!

And then my mom dragged me to get the one thing I couldn’t leave home without:

IMG_3615

A FLU SHOT! boooooooo and ouch!

I then ate a bar from my purse:

IMG_3616

And a BIG turkey whole wheat pita from pita pit with baked ruffles and a green tea for lunch!

IMG_3617

Sorry if this is a totally spastic post…..I’m sitting on top of mountains of clothes that have to be packed. Surprisingly I’m not sore at all from my run, which is AWESOME because I don’t have time for sore quads today!

Be backkkkkkkkk!

great job on your run… i’ll be running my first marathon in 10 days and i’m thinking of running the galloway method of 1:1 run/walk for the first 18 miles. during my training i averaged a 9:20 pace for my long runs (13-22 miles) and didn’t take any walk breaks. i’ve got a few friends who trained using the run/walk and they don’t ache like i do. they’re also about 10 years younger than me but still… you really should get a bicycle. it’s great fun to ride through wine country! easy on your knees, too!!

I hate getting my flu shot!!! A few years back, after I got my shot, I saw my Mom get hers and I fainted full on into a huge cookie display, knocking the whole thing over and the cardboard from the display gave me cuts on my face and then some creepy dude came over and completely groped me while “helping” me up…. not a fun memory of flu shots lol.

Lucky duck! I have an 05 honda civic and I bought her brand new when I turned 18, and I dont think she would survive cross country either haha. If the car is gonna be in your parents name (mine is haha) I would recommend keeping it registered in fl only becuz they freakin DOUBLED our yearly car registration, so I now pay 440 a year for registration! insane! thats what my friend did who moved from iowa, but the car was in her dads name so she kept it registered there- no one can prove otherwise (cops lol) that your just borrowing ur parents car!
