Breakfast

Already Monday?!

Monday just came way to fast this weekend! I didn’t even get 24 hours of down time 🙁 Oh well, I can’t complain because this is my last week of school before spring break. This morning I ate a quick bowl of oats (1.5 packets of Hemp oatmeal) with a banana and a cup of vanilla almond milk before I have to get ready and jump in the car to get back to Orlando and go to work! I’m so excited about my lunch today because its leftovers from yesterday packed so cute in my new little containers. I’m a dork like that.

Have a great Monday!

I absolutely cannot believe that it’s Monday, either – especially since this means that my spring break and Easter break from school are now officially over!! :0( Hope your Monday goes well!!

I definitely have a mild obsession with lunchboxes…somehow eating out of all those cute containers makes lunch more appealing and fun!

    Good morning Jenna,
I’m currently waiting in Orlando airport to fly home but I couldn’t help but thanking you for the incredible time I had last night. My family and I didn’t make it to Roy’s on Saturday but I insisted we go last night, and everyone was so glad that I did. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food, amazing, and the service, impeccable. Our server was Stephen and we enjoyed the corn chowder, field greens salad, edamame, striped bass, mahi mahi, child’s buttered pasta, special order coconut shrimp (my brother was beyond pleased that they made a dish justfor him), 2 child’s desserts, and… the flourless chocolate souffle! The dessert was obviously my favorite but everything came in close second. I explained how I found out about the restaurant to my family after our delightful dinner, and although they found it kind of weird (non-foodies just don’t understand food blogs, haha), they wanted me to tell you how much they, us, (the Alvarez family) appreciated the suggestion. I hope your Monday and the rest of your week goes very well! Thanks again!

It doesn’t feel much like Monday does it?? The weekend flew by! I have yet to try the hemp oatmeal, but I’ll keep a look out. I love the hemp granola. =)

Hey! I recently found your site and I love it! I’ve never baked or cooked anything vegan before, but the cookbooks sound pretty amazing and I’m definately thinking about trying them. Also, I was wondering, what kind of maple syrup do you use??

Weekends always seem too short, especially when you don’t have any downtime. But the hemp oatmeal looks great!

I have been taking a multi vitamin for almost a year now and it includes 100% iron.. and I eat a pretty healthy balanced diet ..however it doesnt included any red meat.

I just found out I was anemic so my mom bought me iron pills which have 150 DV of iron..

Should I stop taking my iron pill or the multi vitamin?? Or keep taking both??

    Megan,

I don’t use a specific brand…I usually just buy Organic, grade A, pure maple syrup. Never imitation or stuff with artificial sweeteners!!

    Eliza,

I’m hesitant to give you advice because this is a health issue….I think your best bet is to just call up your doctor and ask just to make sure! I don’t know if I would take both the iron pill AND the multi because the multi contains iron and you def. don’t want too much. Personally, I would just take the multi but you should make sure with your doctor!
