Good morning! Or good afternoon??!! My body is in a very confused state right now, methinks. I don’t have too much to report in this post because, literally, I just woke up an hour ago and have just unpacked and done laundry, but I do have a massive grocery shop to do since we have zero food at all in this house!
So back to last night for a second though. I jumped on the red eye out of LA at 9:30 and got into Tampa around 5:15 this morning. Ryan was there to greet me, bright eyed and bushy-tailed and I promptly passed out and didn’t wake back up again until 11:00. So it might seem like I slept in but I really think that all together, I only got about 6 hours of sleep. They don’t call it the red eye for nothin’! I’m going to lay low today for sure.
When I arose I ate the only thing I could find in the house: a bowl of Barbara’s Shredded Oats with soy milk

July 23, 2009 at 1:09 pmHaha, Jenna, you’re actually pretty pulled together for someone with jet lag! When I came back from Canada recently, I arrived in England exxxxhausted and my bf and I went straight to bed at around 4:30 pm. Promptly woke up at 12am, WIDE AWAKE … argh. Had some warm milk to calm us down and then we slept again until 11am… wow. Too much sleep. I walked around in a fog for days. lol. Anyway, this blog is not about me!! What I’m trying to say is, you’re doing the right thing by treadmilling it out. 🙂

July 23, 2009 at 1:17 pmGlad you made it home safe and sound. Traveling is rough on the body, but I’ve also found that jumping right back into the old routine is the best way to keep jet lag at bay. Have a great run!
