I just had to show yall one of Ryan’s desserts last night….and when I say one of, I mean that he had two 🙂

- 1 frozen banana
- 1 scoop Amazing Grass wheatgrass
- 1 scoop Sun Warrior brown rice protein
- about 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond breeze
- 1 scoop peanut butter
- about 3 cups spinach
I sure missed my Amazing Meal addition but never to fear, I have tracked my package and it should be arriving on my doorstep today! This didn’t taste bad with regular protein powder in it but its so easy just to add one thing and be set on BOTH greens and protein.
I also had some Yogi Active Body Green Tea 🙂
I’m thinking swimming might be on the agenda this morning. See you for lunch!
Question of the Day:
What is the ONE beauty product you just can’t live without? For me its my Ole Henriksen spf 30 face sunscreen. I adore that stuff!
rhodeygirl
June 25, 2009 at 7:58 ammorning!
hmmm… tough question. I could live without all of them, but if I had to pick something it would be the Dove sensitive skin face lotion I use.
Stacey
June 25, 2009 at 8:07 amI really love my Nuetragena Age-Defying Sunscreen SPF 70!! Ever since using my face is so much brighter and even-toned!! Oh and I also can’t live without some sort of lip balm, preferably Chapstick 🙂
Courtney (The Hungry Yogini)
June 25, 2009 at 8:09 amMmmm GM! Looks delish. But that dessert looks even yummier =)
I LOVE my apricot scrub…keeps my skin silky smooth. Oh, and I wear…a smile! Best beauty trick ever!
April
June 25, 2009 at 8:15 amThat’s an easy one for me. My eyebrow pencil, without it I don’t have any!!! 🙂
D
June 25, 2009 at 8:18 amMy one beauty product I can not live without, would have to be WATER!!!!
leslie
June 25, 2009 at 8:21 amone beauty product? that’s hard! 🙂 i guess it would actually be neutrogena sunscreen (spf 70!) with helioplex – my skin is insanely pale, and this is the only sunscreen that has ever kept me from turning into a lobster! i love my peace by kenzo perfume too!
Cecilia
June 25, 2009 at 8:22 amYAY YAY YAY I’M THE WINNER!! WOOOO….
I’m kidding. I’m high from too much caffeine in my system, can you tell 😉
Katrina (gluten free gidget)
June 25, 2009 at 8:25 amHmmm…. technically I could live without everything. BUT, I’m going to say deodorant! On a more frivolous note I love my Cargo blush in Rome and my Nanette Lepore perfume.
Recipes for Creativity
June 25, 2009 at 8:27 amIs a toothbrush a beauty product? I do wash my face with Neutrogena Visibly Even 2x a day and put on moisturizer with sunscreen, but I’m just getting used to using anything other than soap, so I could probably still live without them!
Heather
June 25, 2009 at 8:27 amThe one beauty product I can’t live without would have to be my blush/bronzer package from Physicians Formula. It gives me that perfectly fresh and awake look!
Kellie
June 25, 2009 at 8:31 amJenna,
I read you blog daily (never commented)…. first thing this morning I listened to your podcast. Just wanted to say GREAT JOB!
Amanda (modernation)
June 25, 2009 at 8:32 amHi Jenna,
A friend passed along this great resource for buying produce.
You can use this guide when you’re shopping so you’ll know which produce to buy organic, and which conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables are okay if organic isn’t available.
You enter your email address and can download an iPhone app or a PDF version of the guide.
With all your green monsters and produce that goes along with it, I thought I would pass it along!

June 25, 2009 at 8:32 amhm one thing I couldn’t live without? Does my flat iron count? I don’t wear many products at all, I’m going to have to agree with D- WATER. When you live in Central TX and it’s already 104 degrees, you need WATER! haha Good question. I’m really looking into bare minerals, I know you use it- maybe it’ll be my fav NEW product soon 🙂
Teddy

June 25, 2009 at 8:34 amThe one beauty product I can’t live without is bare minerals, I love that stuff!
That dessert looks amazing and how cool that it’s completely vegan!
Laura
June 25, 2009 at 8:35 amAvon ClearSkin Facial Scrub. It’s the first thing I found since puberty that actually helps!
Jenn
June 25, 2009 at 8:38 amI would definitely say my mascara!! I’m a redhead, and my eyebrows are totally blonde. If I don’t have on mascara, you can even see my eyes!
Congrats to Johanna!
Jocelyn
June 25, 2009 at 8:40 ammmm that dessert looks so good lol
I think for me it would have to be any deep moisture facemask/creams..usually I use oatmeal cream (nature gate I believe)
Tammy (Defining Wellness)
June 25, 2009 at 8:43 amI found Amazing Meal at Whole Foods in a single-serving packet and I’m SO excited to try it! I also found Sunshine Falafel burgers, too! It was my lucky night! One beauty product I love is ShiKai Borage Dry Skin Therapy eye cream. I read somewhere that the one product every woman should use is eye cream, and it has really reduced my “smile lines” and made my eyes look bigger and brighter!

June 25, 2009 at 9:24 amOooooh his dessert looks phenomenal!!! 🙂
One beauty product–that really is a tough one! But I guess one that I use everyday is not so much a beauty product (I don’t wear makeup every single day–SHOCKER!), but perfume oil! I became addicted to this perfume oil when I was 16 years old and have been using it ever since. I think I have 3-4 vials of Egyptian Goddess at any given time around my house.

Have a great day Jenna!
Christine
June 25, 2009 at 9:25 amI always use my Dermalogica Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even if I don’t do my whole face up with make-up at least I have a moisturizer on with SPF and my skin tone looks even! ITS AMAZING and you can get it at PIA Esthetics Day Spa on Bay to Bay in S Tpa! LOVE THAT STUFF!!!
Meghan
June 25, 2009 at 9:25 amAnything Burt’s Bees for sure! And a moisturizer that I can only find in Ireland- forget the brand.

June 25, 2009 at 9:39 amUm, yum!! Can I be Ryan for a day? Guys really don’t know how good they have it ;).
Not to mention your green breakfast looks yummy too. I don’t have a blender at home, so I’ve yet to be able to make one myself!
polly

June 25, 2009 at 9:49 amHard to pick just one beauty product….but I would have to say my mascara. I at least need that, although I’m a full makeup gal. I’ve been wearing mascara since the 6th grade!
Sarah
June 25, 2009 at 9:52 amCongrats Johanna!
My favorite beauty product right now is undereye concealer from Avon…I’ve been having those dark circles a lot (however, I think the green monsters are helping!)
emily
June 25, 2009 at 9:53 amoh and I love my Energizing Pomegraate Lip Protector with SPF 15 by Murad. Love Love Love it. Lately I have been putting it on over my Outlast Lipstain in shade 400. It works great cause I like my lips alot and it doesnt come off right away!

Happiness Awaits
Danielle
June 25, 2009 at 9:58 amCongrats to Johanna! Ryan’s dessert looks amazing.
My beauty item would be my moisturizer (Aveeno w/ spf) it’s the only thing I wear every, single day.
Jenny
June 25, 2009 at 10:00 amJohn Frieda’s Volumizing Root Lift, without which my hair would be a limp, flat disaster! I would gladly trade bronzer and mascara for this any day!
MarathonVal
June 25, 2009 at 10:02 amDefinitely mascara and chapstick! Although during the summer months I couldn’t get by without my Neutrogena SPF 70 spray sunscreen – I LOVE the spray can so that you can apply it quickly and it’s not goopy – and it works really well, too!!
Heather @ Health, Happiness, and Hope
June 25, 2009 at 10:03 amYUM!!! I am loving the looks of Ryan’s snack haha! Men can be so creative when they want to be. 😉
Hmm… I tend to switch up my products a lot to try new products, but I really love my Covergirl undereye concealer. Definitely a lifesaver when a sleepless night comes around.
Kristin @ Iowa Girl Eats
June 25, 2009 at 10:13 amOMG that snack – so amazing looking!! I can’t live with Prescriptive’s brand comfort face lotion – life changing!
Krissy
June 25, 2009 at 10:18 amThat dessert looks to die for! Chocolate and peanut butter is my all time favorite combination.
I have 2 products I can’t live without. Some Kind of Gorgeous makeup by Benefit is the best ‘foundation’ I’ve ever used. I use very little and it’s so light but covers great. I also just bought Rusk Bright Shampoo. It’s done wonders for my highlights.
Gloria
June 25, 2009 at 10:20 amPB+Chocolate=Heaven!! That’s my fav combo too. Ryan has damn good taste.. of course 😉
The only beauty products I’ve been really happy with lately are my MAC eye shadows. I don’t wear them very often, but those bright colors are perfect for a fun night out.
Leah
June 25, 2009 at 10:24 amI can’t live w/o my Neutrogena Moisturizer w/ SPF 15!
elliebelle
June 25, 2009 at 10:28 amI’d probably have to say chapstick. But, I really LOVE my Bumble and Bumble curl creme.
emily
June 25, 2009 at 10:46 amok great I thought it might be that easy but I just wanted to make sure!
Becca
June 25, 2009 at 10:49 amI use a Burt’s Bees mint foot creme on my feet after running. Helps keep them soft and in good shape!
Kailey (SnackFace)
June 25, 2009 at 10:56 amOh hello dessert! I had no idea what the peanut butter was at first- it looked yellow to me! Now that I know—yum!
Beauty product I couldn’t live without? Are we talking beauty or makeup? Beauty: my entire facial routine: aveeno wash, toner, cetaphil moisturizer. But I also couldn’t live without Maybelline Define-a-lash mascara!
Aoife
June 25, 2009 at 10:57 amCan’t live without
my Burt’s Bees WATERMELON lipshimmer
(doesn’t have a watermelon flavour or anything, but lovely neutral shade ,looks good on everyone and moisturizes lips and a little sheen-LOVE IT!!)
Aoife
June 25, 2009 at 10:58 amPS I didn’t realize most major companies have many carcingogen/cancer related ingredients…scary cause I used CLinique for years before I found this out 🙁
Maria
June 25, 2009 at 11:13 amWow, Ryan’s dessert looks so decadent, yet it’s somewhat healthy! I’m so excited for my Amazing Meal to come :D.
A favorite beauty produce as of now is actually a cheap one–Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer spf 20. Covers spf, moisture, and a sheer tint all in one. I’m all about multi-tasking ;).
Matt
June 25, 2009 at 11:37 amI think me and Ryan would be good friends!
Mrs. Myers @ Eat Move Write
June 25, 2009 at 12:35 pmCongrats Johanna! I’m so sad the summit is E Coast. Maybe you guys will do a West Coast one – I’m there!
I love Ryan’s cookie. It looks like something MY Ryan (husband) would do.
My must have is Victoria Principal moisturizers. I’m allergic to almost everything skin-wise and I was having burning sensations when water touched my face (sweat, shower – any water). Finally, my mom convinced me to use her Victoria Principal and voila. Problem solved within days! I guess moms know what they’re talking about after all! 🙂
Jess
June 25, 2009 at 12:48 pmI can’t live without lip balm. I really like the Rosebud Salve.
Traci
June 25, 2009 at 1:40 pmOut of all the products I buy the one I can’t live without is a basic one that’s been around a long time and I still love the smell and the way it makes my skin feel…Oil of Olay
