Good afternoon!
Hope everyone’s Tuesday is going well. I loved hearing your Oregon Trail stories….I pretty much laughed all morning long. It was awesome. I loved one comment about the sad music coming on when “bad water” hit. bahahahaha g-times.
Snacked on some TJ’s trail mix for a morning snack:

And then went to my power bootcamp class at the studio. Seriously…this class totally kicks my booty every single time; it’s amazing! We warmed up with 12 sun salutations then did leaping squats, lunges, handstands, push-ups and side planks. By the end of the 45 minutes I couldn’t feel my low body any more…or my arms for that matter. Intense!
Rushed home to make a fast lunch (since I was STARVING!):

two high fiber tortillas filled with hummus, 4 egg whites + 1 yolk, lettuce and sriracha. Plus a juicy pear 🙂
I’m off to a meeting! Have a great rest of your day!

January 12, 2010 at 2:29 pmThat class sounds rough! But in a good way 🙂 Jumping squats, lunges, anything! makes me sore for days. I think I actually do remember that Oregon Trail game…

January 12, 2010 at 2:38 pmMissed the Oregon Trail discussion. Personally, I thought that only kids in Oregon played that game! I’m delighted you all got to share in the joy of shooting beavers with the space bar.

January 12, 2010 at 2:45 pmThat sounds like an awesome workout – I need to find one of those in Seattle!

January 12, 2010 at 2:54 pmOregon Trail! I didn’t know it existed anymore!!
Your enthusiasm for yoga is contagious. I took a class in college but didn’t really get the whole mind/body connection. I’m trying it one more time starting tomorrow. . .although I’m hoping leaping squats won’t be part of beginner’s yoga 🙂

January 12, 2010 at 2:57 pmThat title reminds me of Griswalds Christmas Vacation. 🙂

January 12, 2010 at 3:07 pmI’m still trying to figure out what people do with the yolk when they only use the whites. Do you all just throw them away?

January 12, 2010 at 3:10 pmToday I… practiced Yoga for 42min, went for a run and a walk. Can I feel my legs? Yes. But sometimes I’d wish I cut back on the run and forgo it.

January 12, 2010 at 4:05 pmWow, I’d start to hate yoga with a class like that! Glad you like it!
What kind of high fiber tortillas do you use? Can you buy them anywhere? Or are they a TJ’s or WF special item?
Need to find and buy them!

January 12, 2010 at 5:11 pmOh man, plyometrics (like squats and jumps) are killer! There’s a class at my gym called SHRED and I always feel like jello afterwards. Love the egg wrap! I’ve been having scrambled egg whites with lots of srichacha sauce for breakfast – so good and spicy 🙂

January 12, 2010 at 5:12 pmwow….that yoga class sounds like torture. I bet the payoff is well worth it, though. I used to be in a class that would take us through ENDLESS sit-ups and the entire time the instructor would be joking about how tight our abs would be. Made it a little easier, lol.

January 12, 2010 at 6:20 pmI need to get on this egg wrap bandwagon that’s been sweeping the food blog world. Seems like such a powerful and delicious meal!

January 12, 2010 at 6:34 pmThis is my first comment…omg…I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. Your lunch looks very tasty, for some reason though everytime I eat eggs they fill me up to the max. Does anyone else have the same problem? I try to eat them after a workout or on days when I don’t workout, just so I can get them in to my diet.

I’m writing a memoir of my time in culinary school and france with recipes! It’ll be found in the cookbook section of B&N but will be more of the type of book you bring to bed with you to read at night and will be on the shelves a year from right now! 🙂
