Hey y’all!
I seriously have no idea how I have so much energy right now, running on only like 4 hours of sleep + no coffee. It’s aaaaamazing! However, I did decide that 30 intense minutes of a Dave Farmar podcast was enough yoga for today….sometimes half an hour is clearly enough, especially when you got the workout of your life the night before by dancing for hours and hours. If I could pick any form of exercise to do for the rest of my life, dance parties would be obviously be it.
I just ate an early lunch of a Quorn burger topped with Amy’s veggie baked beans and hot sauce (I forgot my new hot sauce at the guys house last night…the horror!!) with carrots, a piece of pepperjack cheese and an apple:

And busted into my new tea! I can’t find sugar cookie tea ANYWHERE so this had to do…I’m still on the prowl though; every time I go to the store I scour the tea section!

We are about to go throw my laundry into Hardy’s washing machine down the street (thanks, Hardy!!) and then get manicures. I got my mom a manicure as one of her Christmas presents and she got me one for one of mine, so we are going and having some major girl time at Hotel Healdsburg this afternoon. 🙂 Then, perhaps a wine tasting or two, some writing I need to get done, and then my mom is making me my FAVORITE dinner tonight, which is this un-freakin-believable fettucine dish with escarole, brie and pancetta. No seriously, I’ve been dreaming about it since the last time she made it when I still lived in Tampa. My mom is an amazing cook.
Have a great day, friends!

December 21, 2009 at 11:50 amThe spa at Hotel Healdsburg is fab. I still very sparingly use my fig scrub from there 🙂 My husband’s company has had their offsite there-while he works, I go to the spa-ahhhhh.
I had major issues finding the Sugar Cookie but I found it yesterday at the Whole Foods in San Mateo-I danced a little jig. I would imagine that the Whole Foods up there would have it too.

December 21, 2009 at 11:51 amGreat idea!! Have you run a search for the tea on the Celestial Seasonings website? That might help!

Also: I, too have been dreaming of your Mom’s escarole brie and pancetta dish ever since I made it!! I inhaled every drop with a big glass of wine, then I fell down and died it was so good.
PS – I’m a long time reader, but hardly ever comment. Trying to participate more on the blogs I read. (pretty much yours, Kath’s and Caitlin’s) 🙂

December 21, 2009 at 1:00 pmJust so you know Jenna I did the search for that tea on their website and they led me on a crazy search from grocery store to grocery store. No luck. Not even an empty section… None of them carried it 🙁

December 21, 2009 at 1:16 pmQuestion about the sugar cookie tea…I was so happy to find it after reading about it on a lot of food blogs…BUT it tastes like water!! I let it steep for a long time too…it smells good but zero taste. Is that how it is? Cant fig out why it is so popular? Somebody fill me in!! 🙂

December 21, 2009 at 5:08 pmI almost cried with joy in the Target aisle when I found SCSR, and then I flipped it over and saw that it was not Gluten Free. At that point I left the store to cry in my car. Darn you Celestial Seasonings 🙁

December 21, 2009 at 5:56 pmOh wow, what beautiful plans with your mom. Time should definitely be spent with loved ones I think.
I have not seen any sugar cookie either. Sounds nice though, if it tastes like sugar cookies it must be decent!
Kelly Michelle
December 21, 2009 at 6:21 pmhmmmm don’t be too bummed about the tea, I bought every single holiday flavor (all five) and the sugar cookie was by far the worst, my mom thought so too. It has very little flavor and is super boring, the gingerbread however is something to write home about, if you can find that one it is really all you need 🙂

December 21, 2009 at 6:32 pmCan’t find that tea either grrrr…do have the candy cane and gingerbread though! also had nutcracker and sugar plum before…loving it mixed with hot chocolate too – the real kind, no ‘lite’ stuff ;)…

December 22, 2009 at 7:47 pmThat Candy Cane Lane box is so much prettier than the style I have seen. Do you want me to send you some sugar cookie sleigh ride if they still have some in my store?

December 22, 2009 at 7:53 pmI have been trying to find the candy cane tea EVERYWHERE!!! I want to try it. You can search for stores that sell the sugar cookie tea on Celestial Seasonings’ website here:

December 23, 2009 at 11:56 amNot sure what sugar cookie tea is (though if I ever find it I’ll CERTAINLY have to try it!!!) but I just got this tea called Good Earth Teas. The Original Sweet and Spicy tea is exactly that – sweet, cinnamony with some sort of spicy kick, perhaps cloves or cardamom? You must try it. It requires no sweetening at all and tastes so rich that you can refill you mug three times on one teabag and still have great tasting tea. Hm, must make myself a tea now.
