Breakfast

Cheers!

Happy Sunday!

Well, last night was a lot of fun. Probably too much fun!!! If you can only imagine about 40 people dressed up like Caddy Shack going from bar to bar! We got a lot of interesting looks from people, mainly though because they thought the idea was so cool and wanted to join in! In total last night I had three drinks….but it seemed like more!! I had two glasses of wine (one was in a plastic cup and seemed more like a half glass) and a Corona Light. I also ate that larabar because I felt like I needed some food around midnight. We didn’t get home til 1:30! I’ve def. got a bit of a headache today and I’m attributing that to cheap bar wine (who knows what that stuff is?!) and mixing drinks.

We slept in til 9:00! When I woke up I made a bowl of steel cut oats with almond butter and banana. I just walked to the coffee shop next to our apartment and got some coffee with soymilk and am starting to feel a bit better. I’m not sure what the plan is today….I’m waiting to see what the sun is doing outside—it looks like it might be a nice day when these morning clouds burn off. I also need to go to Whole Foods and buy more almond butter because (gasp!) I’m all out!!!

Here are some pictures for your entertainment. By the end of the night I was sporting a green masters jacket and introducing myself as Vijay Singh. I got some strange looks.

Oh my goodness, what a fun, exciting night!!! Such a great theme for a party, too :0) Love how “in character” everyone was!!

You better get to WF for more almond-butter, girl!! It’s too delicious NOT to ;0) I’m actually hooked on strawberry-almond butter (available at Futter’s Nut Butters webstore, where I purchase ALL of my nut-butters).

    Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Out of almond butter…..I would die if I ran out of the stuff!!!! I keep my pantry stocked with at least one extra jar of some sort of nut butter. I totally agree that a trip to Whole Foods is a must.

    Hi Jenna,

I have two very different questions:

First, how do you make sure you’re getting all the essential nutrients as a vegetarian? I’ve heard that it’s hard to get enough iron without eating meat. Is this true?

Second, and I hope this isn’t too personal, but have you ever shared with us how you met your boyfriend? If so, sorry to ask again. Everytime I see a picture of him, I think he looks kind of French! You guys are too cute together.

    Thanks!

    Steph,

It def. is NOT difficult to get your essential nutrients! I eat a TON of spinach, which has a ton of iron as well as tofu, soymilk, kale and other leafy greens. When I became a vegetarian I monitored my diet for a couple days to make sure I was meeting all my nutrition needs and I surpassed every daily value! I keep my diet very varied and eat a ton of fruits and veggies. I also take a multi vitamin (well I just ran out and I need to buy more) just for “insurance”.

Ryan and I met in an elevator 2 years ago and the rest is history. He is def. not french, that’s so funny!!!!!

Jenna, so glad you had fun last night! Your outfits are too cute! I’m loving the baby pink!

I hope you have a great trip to Whole Foods today. I went yesterday (always go on Saturdays) and picked up my usual array of goodies. I think I love that store just a little too much! Definitely agree about the almond butter. It’s a must-have!

Hopefully the sun peaks out for you today. Shockingly, it’s making an appearance here in Boston. I can’t wait until summer arrives in full swing!

    “see” you for lunch!
