The coldest weekend in a year? C’mon that’s exaggerating a bit. Now, coldest weekend this season so far, YES! At least you were bundled up proper like! Looks like you guys had a blast!
I grew up in MN, then lived in Chicago, and my hubs is from Chicago and these Brrrrr! pictures are why we live in San Diego now. Stay warm…and it looks like you had a ball! Great city…but chillllly!

You are here?! Post more details about what you guys did, I should love to see where you went! Hope you are having fun 🙂
That meal at the Purple Pig looked amazing through instagram. I want those beets! Never been to Chicago, but I desperately want to go. It’s the one “big” city I’ve somehow not managed to travel to. Hope you get some good pizza!
awww! I miss my city 🙂 love the glimpse through the iphone!

oooh…I shiver just looking at these pictures. I’ve only been to Chicago once, in March, and it was coollldd…..I guess I’ve been in California too long. Even though I was born in New Jersey, I can’t take the cold weather. Looks like you are having a blast though!
Have fun, be safe. I hate driving around Chicago! It’s terrifying.

Jenna! You are in Chi-town?! You need to go to Native Foods Cafe!! It is the best veg/vegan restart in the entire city! I will be at the Wicker Park location tonight. You should definitely stop by!
While you’re freezing your parts off in the Windy City, I’m home cozied up in my grampa’s old flannel shirt baking a batch of your Chewy Peppermint Mocha cookies. They are lookin’ DEEvine! I’ll share them at church tomorrow. Maybe. If they’re lucky. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hey Jenna- unrelated to this post, but you said you use olay eye cream… Do you put your moisturizer on top of the eye cream or let the eye cream stand alone?

Ahh, Chicago, one of my favorite cities. My brother-in-law and his wife live in a high rise on the lake, just a short distance from the water tower, pictured.
I also must say… the first trip my now-husband and I took together back in January 2008 (when we’d been dating 3 weeks!) was to Chicago, from New England. And that weekend, it was the coldest it had been in 2 years. I think that cold really brought us together! We stayed in the hotel room a lot more….
The Purple Pig!!! Isn’t it wonderful? I did a review of it in October and then went and made their whipped feta with cucumbers that was featured in the Nov. Food & Wine. SO good!
