Breakfast

Dazed and Caffeinated

Morning!

The only issue with blogging so much is that sometimes I really just don’t know what to say. Like, I have nothing witty or interesting to share with you today. I’m sort of in that “post oatmeal and coffee daze” currently and trying to give myself a pep talk for spinning class in an hour.

Oh well.

Oatmeal!

IMG_2542

1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, 1 banana, 1/2 scoop protein, 2 tsp maca, almond butter and pumpkin butter. You guys know the drill!

After spinning, I’m heading into San Francisco to pick up Christie and Alissa from the airport and then we are spending the day causing raucous in the city…they’ve never been so I’m excited! I love watching people’s faces as they go over the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time. My first time was back in July and I know I totally freaked out (I still freak out, not going to lie).

I know exactly what you mean about the writing – sometimes I feel like I am saying the same things every day (“and then I ate breakfast and then I ate lunch…”). But luckily yummy food photos often speak for themselves!

So jealous of your weekend in San Fran with the ladies – walk some hills and eat some chocolate for me 🙂

I’m sure EVERY blogger has “writer’s block”. But, you’d be surprised at how the most mundane/ordinary things we do can somehow become funny. Take Seinfeld – a show about “nothing” was totally funny!

Having grown up in CA, I’ve passed the Golden Gate Bridge more times than I can possibly count. Each and every time, though, it’s awe-striking. I’m excited for you and your friends! Live it up in the city!

Yummy oatmeal requires no wit. Its hearty yumminess says a thousand words.

Also, the MacSpeech Dicate should be arriving next Wednesday, be on the look out for the UPS dude!

Very exciting to be picking up friends and having fun in SF! Can never run out of things to do and see in SF…if live there entire life.

I know what you mean about the Golden Gate Bridge. I first saw as a child, lived in the City for I nearly 20-years [once moving away and returning], have literally walked over the GGB 100s of times from The City to Sausalito then taking the Ferry back. Still is a thrill to see–even wrote a post about it on it’s Anniversary, which exits somewhere on my site. Once, flying into SFO at night our 727 was packed and forced into a circle pattern north of the Bay for 45 minutes. Clear night and spectacular view. A group in the back started singing ‘I Left My Heart in San Francisco’ and everyone on the plane chimed-in. Terrific time & memory!

Since you’re a reader, I thought you might like to know about the temporary closing of the Sonoma County libraries over the holidays: http://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/20091104/COMMUNITY/911049976.

I don’t know how much you utilize your local library, but this might hinder any use post-Christmas.

I hope this was helpful. Have a happy Thursday!

Is it just me, or do all bloggers on food/health issues eat oatmeal for breakfast! I used to have major issues with oatmeal, but then started eating it almost daily almost a year ago. Maybe, unknowingly, that was the first step I had to take before I could start my blog!
Have a great time with your friends!
