Good morning!
Thank you all again for your votes and your sweet comments. You really know how to make a girl smile, that’s for sure!
This morning was training day 2 for Nike so I got up and had a little snack before hitting the upstairs treadmill
A yummy date + almond butter always gets my engines started!
This morning I ran 2.5 miles. It was okay. I was a little hungry….I can’t help it! If I work out before eating in the morning ALL I can think about is breakfast. I’m going to also do some yoga later to stretch out my tight hamstrings so I’m feelin’ good for my first Team in Training practice on Saturday morning!
When I got back it was, of course, time for breakfast! I made a nice little meal with 2 slices of Ezekiel cinnamon raisin toast smeared with smart balance and “pb mousse” made with 0% Fage + 2 tbsp PB2 and topped with raw cacao nibs and a sliced banana.
All together:
I really don’t have much going on today. I’m going to write, read and do some yoga. See you all in a bit!
Click here to vote for Jenna as the next Murphy-Goode wine girl!

May 14, 2009 at 7:01 amGlad you had a nice run!! I hear ya, if I’m hungry at yoga, it all goes downhill! Trying to meditate and be all zen with a lion in your stomach is not easy!!!! Looks like a yummy breakfast to do the job!
Enjoy your day!

May 14, 2009 at 7:02 amI hate exercising when I know I’m hungry! It’s like the tummy rumbles escalate in loudness until I just have to quit! But at the same time, eating something more substantial and then waiting an hour or so is just as troublesome because it never fits perfectly into my schedule!
A slow day sounds good, Jenna! Hope you crank out lots of good writing today. 🙂

May 14, 2009 at 7:03 ami don’t think i could exercise before noon if all the almond nut butter in the world depended on it! 🙂

I know you’re super busy, but would you want to write a guest dinner post for my blog? It’s a new-ish feature I’m doing, and would love to have you “over” for dinner!

May 14, 2009 at 8:09 amI’m usually hungry when I wake up in the morning as well, but once I get into my run I forget about it and it goes away. However, a few minutes after I get back, I am starving!

I love the Raisin Ezekiel bread too but I don’t buy it very often because I don’t know what else I can eat it with other than butter. Do you have any ideas of something wonderful I can spread on it so I can have a reason to go buy it today? lol

May 14, 2009 at 10:23 amHi Jenna, I have just ordered some PB2. When you make your PB Mousse do you mix the PB2 with water and then add it to the yogurt or do you mix it dry? Thanks for all of the insipiration you give me through your blog! Elizabeth
Jess
May 14, 2009 at 10:23 amInteresting, I’m rarely hungry when I run. Maybe because I go so early in the morning. Running seems to suppress my appetite.
Lindsey (fiteats)
May 14, 2009 at 10:25 amOk, all this pb mousse is really making me want some pb2!!!

May 14, 2009 at 10:58 amI think about food often when I’m running…well, or doing much of anything, really 🙂 wonder why I read food blogs??
Actually, I have a hard time “zoning out” while I’m running. I know my struggles with it are purely mental, but when I’m running I often just think, “la la, I’m running, I am slow, I want to be better, where’s the next 1/4 mile marker, I want to walk” etc. All in my head because my body is fine. Do you (or anyone) have tips to help me zone out and not think about the fact that I’m running? I have music, sometimes my puppy or a friend to run with, pretty scenery, and none of it matters…
Nicole
May 14, 2009 at 11:42 amI would never be able to run without eating first. I am always *ravenous* when I wake up in the morning. Enjoy your relaxing day!

May 14, 2009 at 2:23 pmGoodness, I tried to mix plain yogurt with PB2 & it just tasted tangy to me!!! I guess I am used to sweet yogurts, so I am wondering does it taste sweet at all to you?! Michelle 🙂
