My written test went well—thank you ALL for such supportive, encouraging comments this morning!!! Tomorrow is my hands on practical (the big kahuna) and I pulled “braided soft bread” and ‘scones” out of the hat. Yay! I get to make again the yummy soft, sweet bread and rolls I’ve been featuring lately. I’m a little more nervous about the scones just because the class made those on the day I was home sick so I never got a chance to practice, but I’ve made tons of scones before in my life so hopefully it will all be okay…
I was STARVING!!!!!!! when I got home from school. I think I need more than fruit as a morning snack…I need nuts or something! I got some herbal tea midmorning at the school’s cafe while on break, but that didn’t really do anything. When I got home I raced to the fridge to heat up my leftover turkey burger from last night! I put it on a soft roll and added 1 laughing cow cheese and some honey mustard to it. Quite tasty! I also ate a pear with it. After I finished, I was still famished (what’s wrong with me today?!) so I went back and grabbed about 6 kashi crackers and a small piece of chocolate. Sad to say that I’m STILL hungry so now I think I will just guzzle some water. Maybe I’m dehydrated from my coffee this morning.
This lunch (including the kashi crackers not shown) was about 514 calories. Now, for a big glass of water! 🙂
