Morning!
Hope you all had a great Saturday night. Dinner was delicious! We went to a restaurant here in Santa Rosa called John Ash & Co...I highly recommend it. 🙂
Delicious vino:
Yummy mushroom soup—
(sorry for the blurry pic!)
And I had the special, which was this delicious salmon topped with rock shrimp on top of a blend of Israeli couscous and quinoa. SO good!
Gosh, that wine though…….love me some Ridge Zin. It was unbelievable.
Dinner ended up being quite a long event and we actually missed the movie….sad! I really wanted to see it, too. Next time!
This morning I met a friend for brunch at Bruno’s on 4th. I love this little place! We ate some fruit to start—
And I had one of my favorites that I probably only eat, like, once a year….eggs benedict!
It’s just so good. And now I am stuffed to the brim but have a very happy belly indeed. 🙂

Bout to go grocery shopping, hit the gym and catch up on my emails. Have a relaxing Sunday!

December 13, 2009 at 11:38 amYour food looks delicious as always but I have to ask… do you get sick of eating out all the time? It is awesome for the blog and food interest but I know you have been eating out A LOT since you moved to Cali and personally when I go on vacation or something where I have to eat out all the time I actually get pretty sick of it! I just want to go home and eat something simple, does this happen to you?
Also, eating out is very expensive! Do you get free meals in exchange for putting the links and reviews on your blog?

December 13, 2009 at 11:42 amKelly Michelle,
I love eating out! Sometimes I do crave something simple but eating out is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, no, I don’t get any free meals really. I wish!

December 13, 2009 at 1:35 pmI loves Eggs Benedict! I usually order it without the sauce though so I guess it’s not really a true eggs benedict!! I love going out to breakfast too! 🙂
I am giving away a pound of gingerbread coffee from a local coffee shop on my blog if you want to check it out:

December 13, 2009 at 4:39 pmThe dinner and brunch look amazing! That is some richly intense eggs Benedict. At least you had fruit before, it negates any unhealthiness of the actual meal..right?

December 13, 2009 at 5:34 pmHi,
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now but this is the first time I’m commenting (I don’t know why but I’ve been feeling braver in this respect lately). I just wanted to tell you that you’ve really been an inspiration for me as I recover from my eating disorder. I really want to thank you for reminding me nearly every day that food deserves to be enjoyed and that while it’s important to live a healthy lifestyle, we should never fear amazing food because we don’t know exactly what’s in it, etc. I’m already 17, but I hope that one day I can be like you (but obviously first I need to get to the point where I’m not incredibly anxious while eating out).
Thanks,
Ava

December 16, 2009 at 2:50 pmYour dinner looks delish! And as someone who lives in NYC, I’ll say there are many times when eating out can’t be helped. So excited for you that you are having such a great time out there!
And see The Blindside!! It’s one of my fave movies this year. I’m hoping to see it again with fam this Christmas. So good!
