Hide Your Food

Holy moly! So sorry for keeping y’all waiting but I’ve seriously been racing around on my feet all day long!! How did your Wednesday go??! 🙂

This morning I discovered a new love in my life:

IMG_3240

Okay, obviously I know I love pears but this BRIE!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness…..no words! I found these baby bries at Costco yesterday and they are so perfect in every way. I love that they are perfectly portioned (each baby brie is only 70 calories) and they are so, so soft…almost spreadable. Seriously, I am gushing right now about cheese and that’s okay. Trust me. You will thank me later!

After my lovely snack I hit the studio for a 90 minute power vinyasa class. Jen is on vacation so Annie, the owner of the studio, took her place. I love Annie but dang…she really works you! Think SUPER long long poses and tons of core work. My tummy will thank me tomorrow, I’m sure, but today I could definitely feel the burn. Rather than a million sun salutations, we instead worked on 10 minute (well not really but you get the picture) crescent moon poses and deep, deep lunges and arm balances. My muscles were screaming at me!

I had to eat lunch in the car while I ran errands!

IMG_3241

IMG_3242

May I present an AB&J on Ezekiel bread and grapes. It tasted good but went right though me and not even five minutes later I was starving again. Its totally been one of those bottomless pit days….I just can’t seem to get full no matter what and feel like I’ve eaten everything in sight! You better hide your food! 😉

Not even an hour later: watermelon and chobani!

IMG_3243

Surprisingly LOVED the pineapple chobani. Its weird—I love pineapple but don’t really like pineapple flavored foods so I was shocked that I loved this so much. And the watermelon was incredibly sweet…..multiply what you see here by like…..four. haha

I got to meet Jessica for a quick dinner at Panera before bible study tonight! Love this girl!

IMG_3246

I also love Panera. I’ve had an aversion to it for the past four years because I went on Panera overload my freshman year of college, but I’m just getting back to it now and its better than ever. In the tiny town of Elon there were two things: walmart and Panera. You can guess where we had all our meals!! I wouldn’t even want to try to count all the asiago cheese bagels that were consumed during my 18th year. 😉

Tonight I had half a mediterranean veggie sandwich and a cup of tomato soup

IMG_3245

I actually told them no bread on the side but they gave it to me anyways so you know I ate it!!!! I have no self control in the bread category. Seriously…Jenna is a bottomless pit today…especially for CARBS!

Bible study: awesome as usual. We had eight wonderful women there tonight and talked about prayer and faith for almost two solid hours. It was a joy!

Lucky for me (or unlucky?), my church is right next door to a frozen yogurt shop….I just had to stop……

IMG_3247

This is a swirl of strawberry cheesecake and cake batter with, obviously, rainbow sprinkles. I love sprinkles! Yes, I know I am five years old. Sheesh! For some reason my sweet tooth has just been out of control lately. I’m blaming hormones…as usual.

Time to catch up on emails and bathe myself! See you in the morning for a giveaway! 🙂

I have been flip flopping between bottomless pit days and zero appetite days. I blame the heat. I think it makes me lose my appetite one day and then the next I am empty from sweating everything out. I CANNOT wait to go to Costco and hunt down those baby bries – AMAZING, thank you!

I love Brie, too! (For obvious reasons.)

I wish we had more frozen yogurt places here. Everything is frozen custard where I live–which is SUPER unhealthy.

Is that baby brie from Costco!? If so, it’s official – I HAVE to cough up the money and join!

I often have bottomless pit days as well but I’ve noticed that a few days later, my hunger will be lacking for a day or two. It’s interesting how our bodies naturally balance out; they want food in moderation and they want a healthy balance! We just have to listen to them!

Oh no… Now I’m going to run to Costco for some baby bries! Food blogs are definitely breaking my budget, haha! Also, what camera do you use? I’m in the market for a new one and I just realized you always have such nice pictures on here..

hey Jenna…oh panera, definitely had my fair share of bagels and combo dinners. You should see Elon these days. It’s been upgraded with a Starbucks and Target…probably better it wasn’t there when I was!

Oh man, baby brie- that looks killer. What a good idea- if I’m around a big plate of brie, I literally cannot control myself, so the babies are the perfect solution for a cheese fanatic like myself!
I don’t have a Costco near me and I wonder where I can find those. Must get my hands on some!

Oh Panera is wonderful – I really like their soups. Who doesn’t like rainbow sprinkles? We keep some in the house to use on ice cream. I keep debating adding a sprinkle to some oats!

I’ve been following your blog for most of the summer but am just now getting around to comment and I just had to say that I am a total sucker for rainbow sprinkles too. My hubby knows I love few things more in the world than vanilla fro-yo with rainbow sprinkles! I love reading the things you post and all drooling over the yummy eats! Keep it coming! 🙂

That’s funny you say that about OD’ing on Panera because my freshman year I OD’ed on rainbow sprinkle frozen yogurt. Did I eat it for TWO meals a day? Yes I did.
It’s a miracle my body didn’t commit mutiny on me in college!
    Have a fabo night!!

It’s nice to hear that you have bottomless pit days too and that is ok to eat healthy things when you have days like that. It’s refreshing to see you have your sandwich and then a yogurt not even an hour later.
And sprinkles? They should be a food group.

I want that brie!! I love portion controlled cheese. When it comes to cheese, I have zero control. I’m loving red grapes right now. The grapes I have been getting lately are bomb! Super crunchy and perfectly sweet. They are SOO GOOD.

RAINBOW SPRINKLES ARE MY FAVORITE. No one understands why I don’t like the chocolate ones. I think they taste sooooooooooo different. Regardless I think the people always think I’m 5 when i order sprinkles on my froyo!

I don’t think we have those mini-bries in Canada…but I will most definitely be on the look out, they look amazing!

Have you ever seen the movie Feast of Love? It’s very good (I rewatched it tonight), but I just realized that you look a lot like one of the actresses! (Rhada Mitchell I think). Anyways it’s a good movie to check out anyways 😉

Mmm, what a tasty day! Some days, I find nut butters very satiating, but, others, they fly right through. Hard to figure out. Usually, I find myself in need of either protein or sodium on those seemingly immediately-hungry days; the sugar and fat alone just don’t seem to do it.

    September 2, 2009 at 11:08 pm

Ah, some days I can eat an enormous amount and others I forget to eat. Those mini-Bries are fantastic, a wheel of Brie is usually so enormous (and delicious!) even if there’s 4 or 5 people it’s so much cheese!

    September 2, 2009 at 11:12 pm

What a wonderful afternoon you had! I love brie cheese to and when I worked in a deli I would put out sample of brie all the time with different fruits and crackers just so I could nibble while eating!
Bible Study soundsamazing, theres nothing better than a bunch of women praying and studying together!

Went to Panera in North Carolina near UNC with my daughter while visiting the school. Had a very satisfying lunch!

I definitely had a very hungry appetite day today – nothing seemed to satisfy … why does that happen? I think it was the carb answer to hungry which generated more carb hunger ..

Oh oh oh I’ve been on a huge brie kick lately, so I’m definitely looking to see if my Costco has those mini babies. And cake batter froyo is my favorite ever!! When my froyo shop gets it in, I always get a couple big containers and store them in my freezer so I can have some whenever. So good!

That brie looks great. I love brie a lot and eat it often the last months (just wrote about it on my blog, I’m so happy with that, because I didn’t eat it often for some years…too long!)

And that frozen yoghurt looks so jummy. Unfortunately, frojo isn’t popular here where I live (Europe), so I’m always really glad when I’m in the US. I just love it!

Have a great day, xxx Julia (Taste of Living)

    Hey Jenna,
How is your bible study structured? Do you all read specific verses during the week or read it together in class? I’m a part of a small group at my church, but we mainly do lessons based on videos or books. But I just feel the need for an official bible study and would like an idea about how yours works. Thanks!

I get the same combo (or with salad instead of soup) at Panera! You can ask them for an apple instead of bread if you want, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on one of your goodies.
