Hot

Good morning!

My allergies are killing me this morning! I could only breathe out of one nostril this morning (HOT) and my throat is scratchy. I don’t feel sick….just pollinated. Which is why I chose to make a delicious smoothie for breakfast!

IMG_8179
This might have been the best one yet. I bought this new organic protein powder yesterday on sale (this but in fair trade chocolate) and it made all the difference! Move over Designer Whey, Teras Whey has taken over the throne!
My smoothie contained 1 scoop of the chocolate, 1 tsp maca, 1 scoop chocolate superfood, 1 cup almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen berries and 1 T peanut butter.
And then I went to the gym for treadmill triumph. I did 40 minutes of speed walking on a gradual incline. I always forget how much that kicks my butt. My tank top was literally drenched in sweat (HOT…again). I’m about to jump in the shower, make some foooooood and then head to the wine center for day two of training.
I shall return.

Since you are outdoors so much, I would look into new allergy meds! And that smoothie looks great! I have been making chocolate cherry bombs and they are absolutely awesome! I use chocolate superfood for the chocolate part and they are just so so good! I have been drinking them every day for about a week!

Hope you are feeling better and that your second day at work is great!

    jenna,

can you tell me more about your treadmill speedwalking workout? like what speed/incline? do you hold it steady the whole time or vary it? always find it inspiring to know what other people are doing for workouts. i cant run anymore (back surgery) so trying to get into speedwalking. Thank you. P.S. the lentils looked awesome!

yikes! Gotta love the allergy season.

I hope you start feeling better soon! Remember, a good run always gets the body heated up which releases congestion. Hit it sister.

I think sometimes a good walking workout is harder than running. With running, you get a momentum going, but walking you are putting effort into every step.
I’ve heard good things about that protein powder.
