Happy Sunday!
This morning I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Jessica, a blog reader, at church! Jessica moved here from New York a few years ago and I got the pleasure of introducing her to her first contemporary church service. She said all the electric guitar playing was a little different than the Catholic masses she grew up, with but I think she liked it and she is going to join me for a bible study starting in a few weeks! 🙂 I LOVE Christian jam bands!
Before church I ate a toasted Ezekiel muffin with cinnamon raisin peanut butter and a peach—
And lunch was Tijuana Flats!!! I ADORE this place because I am a hot sauce freak and they have the best hot bar in town…
Naturally, I collected about six of the hottest hot sauces—
And ordered a veggie whole wheat “power light” burrito (reduced fat cheese and no sour cream). I always order the regular size when I go here and always leave still hungry, so today I ordered the next size up–the “Tijuana size” and it was HUGE
I didn’t eat the chips and I totally tore about my burrito and just ate the filling because one bite and it fell apart all over my plate anyways!
Nothing like Mexican food on a Sunday morning! SO good….and now I am SO full!!!
Afternoon plans include being a bum and reading and then going to a family party later this afternoon.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday so far!

August 2, 2009 at 1:07 pmGlad you had a great time! I used to go to a Lifeteen Mass at my church. They had a drum set, guitars, funky singers and all! So much fun 🙂 That burrito with hot sauce looks amazing! If you’re ever in Dunedin, be sure to try “Casa Tina”– best mexican food around!! Here is their website. http://www.casatinas.com/ I always get the Tostada Vagabunda. Kind of a funny name but it tastes amazing!

August 2, 2009 at 5:42 pmAmen to a good contemporary church service. Mike and I finally settled on a great church downtown. The music is awesome and people are great. I even got to take communion today because they had special gluten free wafers! I haven’t taken communion in 2 1/2 years! It was AWESOME!

August 2, 2009 at 6:37 pmThat burrito looks delicious. Mexican isn’t super popular here, and it tends to be cheese/sour cream covered and things like nachos! I like the flavours of Mexican but it’d be nicer to see something ‘fresher’!

August 2, 2009 at 8:44 pmI love TJ Flats! Can’t beat a hot sauce bar, but I admit I’m not healthy when I go there, since I always get the chicken flautas, because I love playing with my food! haha. But I only go ocassionally for a splurge, so I don’t worry about it too much! 🙂
