Pooped. That’s how I feel right about now. I slept for a solid 8 hours but still feel extremely tired after yesterday…..and I’m getting ready to repeat the whole process!!!! Oh well. I just keep reminding myself that tomorrow is my day off! Oh, and my arms and chest are SUPER sore today from my workout yesterday….
This morning I had another deliciously cool and creamy bowl of overnight oats, this time banana instead of pumpkin:
I used 1/2 cup oats soaked in 1/2 cup water with a pinch of sea salt
1 spoonful almond butter
1 smashed banana
1/2 cup homemade greek yogurt (the last of it!)
I had never smashed the banana into the oats before but was pleased with the result—suuuuper creamy and delicious and sweet enough from the banana, so there was no need for maple syrup or added sweeteners!
No workout today…it’s my “rest day”—I think it’s funny that its my rest day yet I have to work a 10 hour shift. No rest for the weary!!! I like to stay busy though so I don’t mind.
For the next couple hours I plan to just lounge about and relax! I’ll check in again before work at noon. Have a great morning!

November 15, 2008 at 8:28 amOk, I’ll be curious to see if anybody thinks my breakfast sounds good — it’s a far cry from oatmeal. A bagel with cream cheese and lox. It’s a tradition in my family! Love it! That oatmeal looks great, though!
Have a good day, Jenna! Sunday will be here before you know it!
