Wow, I can’t believe it’s 10:00 and I’m just now getting on the computer! Like I said, I’ve been on the boat all day long then Ryan and I had dinner at his parent’s house. I didn’t even get a chance to exercise today like I thought I would this morning. I already made up my mind to go on a nice run tomorrow when I wake up along the bay here before I head back to orlando. We boated/fished/laid out in the sun (it was actually a bit on the cool side in the shade and in the wind!). Needless to say, I’m incredibly exhausted right now and right after this, am jumping in a hot shower then hitting the sack. We had a great day though and I actually caught a little trout! I threw it back of course, but not before snapping a photo! Before we left, we grabbed sandwiches from the grocery store here. I had a veggie wheat wrap and an apple. It fueled me for the next couple hours of fishing/boating fun and later in the afternoon I snacked on an apple pie Larabar.
For dinner, Ryan’s mom made a fabulous meal of fish (a couple different kinds, breaded and baked with walnuts!), a yummy zucchini/tomato/brown rice casserole and raisin bran muffins. I ate everything except for the muffin, which was delicious, but I’m a little muffin-ed out right now…so I gave mine to Ryan and he happily gobbled it up! For dessert there were chocolate ice cream parfaits but I was so stuffed I only ate about half of what you see here. Of course, we made mojitos after coming in from the boat and I nibbled on hummus and bagel chips so that sort of curbed my appetite anyways. I still feel like I’m on the water right now and I usually sleep great after a fun day of boating and sun…so to bed I go! Ready for another week starting tomorrow!
Night yall!

March 3, 2008 at 3:56 amSounds like it was a blast! Although I can’t say fish sounds appealing (I’ve never liked it) the way it was prepared sounds delicious! I’ve got to try that with seitan or something, yum.

need ur help desperately, I am sick and have been sick for the last 2 days: my throat hurts, my nose is stuffed and all I seem to do is keep sneezing and blowing my nose. I have an exam coming up in 4 days, and I really need all my strength to study. so after 3 days of nyquil/sudafed not working I wanted to ask you the names of the hompeopathic drugs u took, when you had tonsillities. Thanks!

March 3, 2008 at 11:33 amAllie, I was about to ask Jenna a question about homeopathic medication as well! OK! So I am a chronic migraine sufferer. I know a few weeks ago you were struggling with a migraine and picked up some natural medication or something, what was it? Thank you in advance!
Your day sounds amazing, Jenna! I love those days that you just fall into bed absolutely exhausted but in a good way. Even better because you spent the whole day outdoors!

Unfortunately when I was sick with toncilitis, I had to resort to conventional meds because I was in so much pain. I took pain killers and 2 antibiotics because I was so sick. I think if you are really sick you need something like this or else the infection in your body won’t be killed. I usually just double up on my vitamin C though if I feel a little under the weather. I eat lots of citrus fruits and sometimes take the emergen-c packets as well. There’s a brand of homeopathic meds called “borein” and they make all sorts of remedies for different ailments. You can find them at Whole Foods. You can try this but if you are seriously seriously sick…you really should see a doctor. Hope you feel better!
oh and for my migraines I take feverfew tablets. I’ve tried all sorts of painkillers and such but these work the best for me. Different things work for different people though so try some things but be careful!
