Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful morning/day with your family! This morning for breakfast my parents and I went downstairs to the hotel cafe to eat breakfast and I’m so glad we did! I chose the Cold Buffet Option, which was more of a European style breakfast…different than the typical sausage, eggs, bacon, waffles Americanized option. The cold buffet had cheeses, artisan breads, oatmeal, fresh fruits, yogurts….it was wonderful! I had a big plate of fruit drizzled with a little bit of plain yogurt along with a small (probably a half serving) of oatmeal and a hard boiled egg. After I ate it all I was still hungry so I went back and got a slice of the most wonderful hazelnut bread, another hard boiled egg (I ate only the white), and some more fruit. I had coffee on the side. It was wonderful and a good choice that didn’t leave me feeling weighed down and heavy.
We are headed back home to Tampa now and lunch will be casual at my parent’s house before I go to spend the evening with Ryan’s huuuge family!
See you at lunch!
My first plate: I didn’t eat that piece of bread though…it wasn’t worth it!
and…my second plate! Now THAT bread was worth it!! 🙂

December 25, 2007 at 5:21 pmMerry Chrietmas Jenna,
I loved reading your Christmas morning and Christmas Eve Blogs and your dining experiences with your family. Good Pictures too! We’ll see you later today—probably more Champagne or a Gingerbread Man (drink) or a Santa Claus (another drink).
Love,
Ryan’s Mom

December 25, 2007 at 5:25 pmMerry Xmas Jenna! Breakfast looks scrumptious and you made great choices nutritionally… can’t say the same for me 🙂 my mom’s homemade cinnamon buns aren’t exactly healthy but one morning out of the year I enjoy the sugary Christmas goodness. All in moderation right? Enjoy the rest of your evening, I hope Santa was good to you!

December 25, 2007 at 6:28 pmEnjoy those cinnamon buns! Christmas comes only once a year and I’m sure you eat pretty healthy the other 364 days. I’m sure they taste amazing!!! And yes–everything is fine in moderation! 🙂 I finally got a cappuccino/espresso maker for christmas so you will be seeing tons of homemade cappuccinos on the blog for awhile! yay!
