I’m not having the best of days today and am pretty frustrated over some issues going on right now but I’m hoping that some exercise will cure me! My headache is pretty much gone but I’m in desperate need of a killer massage because I have the knot the size of a tennis ball on the back of my neck still :(. For lunch today I made something I could take on the run while I ran errands—a protein shake. I really didn’t feel like a traditional lunch anyways because I felt so crappy and this was the perfect thing.
Into the blender went: 1 frozen banana, about a cup of soymilk, 1 scoop protein powder and 1 heaping spoonful almond butter. I call it the chunky monkey 🙂
It was really really delicious and the perfect lunch while on the go. Its been a couple hours now and I’m still full…probably from stress but I’m sure all the protein in the smoothie came into play as well! I spent the afternoon cooking stuff for the week and studying for Capstone tonight. I think I’m going to take a break in about an hour and go to the gym to do legs. I was going to do cardio as well but I think I will save that for tomorrow when I feel better.
