Dessert/ Dinner

Shhh

Ahh, I can’t wait for the day when 5:00 on Friday actually means something to me other than about to go into a 5 hour practical. I’m getting to school early tonight to catch up on anything I missed out on last night and prepare myself for tonight. I’m making a charlotte royal—aka “brain cake”. Layers of jelly roll cake and vanilla bavarian creme; rather old fashioned to say the least. Hopefully I’ll be out before midnight!

That Amy’s split pea soup was really good today and my lunch definitely filled me up. I snacked on the cherries later in the day and was happily surprised when one of my managers that ran out to get everyone else burgers brought me a huge fresh fruit bowl instead! I snacked on some grapes and am saving the rest for breakfast tomorrow. It was a very sweet gesture :).

For dinner I had leftovers from last night. I seriously think Indian food is the BEST when left in the fridge overnight. This meal was great last night but about 50 times better tonight. Thanks Miss Lindsay! Tonight I had it over whole wheat couscous and it was a very filling meal.

I’m bringing with me tonight a new snack I have had in my pantry for a month now but haven’t eaten yet: these dark chocolate covered almonds. All the food I’ve eaten today has been pretty low fat and I haven’t had my daily dose of nuts in yet :). I’ll tell you all how these are–they look addicting!

For all of yall going to the movie tonight: SHHHHHHH!!!!!! I keep listening to the song from the preview over and over (that India Arie song—the heart of the matter) just to pump myself up.

I agree about the Indian food. How did you manage to keep those little beauties in your pantry for a whole month?? I would have started sampling right away! Good luck tonight!

Amy’s soups are awesome. I love how you eat a whole can and it’s still probably not enough of a meal!

    FIVE hours? That’s brutal! D:

And that’s so cool of your manager to bring you fruits! I’d take that over burgers any day!

I can’t believe those almonds lasted a MONTH in your pantry! They would have been gone within the hour if I had them!

Went to the matinee today. It was pretty solid, I give it an 8-8 1/2. HOT clothes. They are getting a bit old though, LOL!
