Good evening 🙂
Thanks for your sweet comments earlier—I have a bit of a scratchy throat but I believe I shall survive. I started feeling better and better as the day progressed, most likely due to our abundance of sunshine today and my pink shoes.

Spring has indeed sprung!!! All the windows in my house are open right now and temperatures were definitely in the 70’s today. I decided to make the most of it and go for an hour bike ride, soaking some sunshine into my bones. I took some iphone pictures of sheep that I saw on my ride but they didn’t come out so hot (and yes, I do stop when I take pictures on my bike. That would be dangerous to snap and ride at the same time although today for the first time I mastered the art of drinking water while riding).
Anyways, I had a really random lunch.

It was nothing special and was pre-grocery shop (I went pretty produce happy at the store this afternoon). What you have here is just 5 morningstar farms buffalo wings, a whole wheat flatbread with hummus and….a carrot. Beautiful.
When I got home from my ride I ate an orange—

Followed by some yogurt about an hour later….

I used the kale and zucchini I picked up at the store today to create this masterpiece for dinner:

Basically all I did was cook some quinoa on the stove and, while it was cooking, I sauteed half a zucchini + a big bunch of kale + a minced garlic clove. I added a half cup of steamed beans (love those Trader Joe’s beans), the cooked quinoa, a sprinkle of sea salt, a dollop of goat cheese and a healthy squirt of sriracha. Everything is better with sriracha…obviously.
After dinner I took a walk.

And then ate a chocolate vita-muffin with peanut butter for dessert while I worked on the book.

I’m going to write for another hour or so and then read for awhile, methinks.

March 15, 2010 at 7:54 pmThe pink shoes…I am sorry to say…were…what with the bow and all, so overwhelming I’ve truly forgotten everything else–despite multiple readings. So sorry. Obviously PINK with BOWS is Kryptonite to me. What/was there a question? Pink was the imprint from this post. PINK. LOL and general hilarity. As you will. Hmm. OK. I’m done. PINK!!
