Sunsets and Salads

I hope everyone is having a wonderful evening!

I did go out on my run around 4:00 but it ended up being more like a 2 mile walk. That was fine with me though, I could tell my body needed rest and walking was just fine with me! It was a gorgeous outside….like 75 degrees and sunny still. Ahhh I love Florida fall and winters! 🙂

When I got back from my 30 minute walk/run/jog thing, I snacked on a fage with dried cranberries because I’ve been starving all day!

And we didn’t end up having quiche after all for dinner tonight. Instead, we had salads with grilled chicken, goat cheese, onion, cherry tomatoes and dried cranberries! I lightly drizzled mine with a vidalia onion dressing and it was divine.

Of COURSE I had to have some of Betty’s amazing banana bread on the side.

I also had a glass of this wine:

Seriously, if yall see this, buy it! It was AMAZING wine! It was medium bodied and had the aroma of olives. Very interesting and very good!

I’m off to take a bubble bath and soak my sore legs. I hit the bookstore hard today so I have a ton more reading material! I finished The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers and it was GREAT. I couldn’t put it down. Definitely worth checking out if you like her writing. She is one of my favs :).

Tomorrow I’m back at the 7-3 grind! After work I’m going to the gym to swim some laps and then I will post a looong update of the day! See you then!

But first…..here’s a Vero Beach sunset for you:

Did you ever figure out if your trainer measured your body fat %-age or your BMI?

  • Erin
    October 2, 2008 at 2:39 am

You said earlier that your BMI had always been between 16-19. The healthy range starts with 18.5….so is that true? Or were you still thinking of body fat percentage?

Hi there – I have a quick question for you about your blog. I’d like to start a photography blog and I wondered how you like WordPress? I was also looking at Blogger, but I have no idea which is better. Do you get to customize a lot of the look and feel? Also, how do you get your blog to show up as its own URL instead of eatliverun.wordpress.com? Thanks for any advice!

Yall I didn’t get a new hairstyle! 🙂 I only got my usual highlights. Nothing drastic in the least bit. I need to get it trimmed on my next pay check though!

    Erin,

Nope—jokes on me. I meant body fat percentage. Just a mistake I made!

    Steph,

I’ve read them all except for the Last Sin Eater. I always debated on it…was it really good? I might have to give it a second chance next time I’m at the bookstore! Redeeming Love is my favorite!!!

    Tanya,

I will get back to you! 🙂

    Jenna…

Redeeming Love is my favorite book of ALL times!! The best romance novel ever written.. hands down!

and yes the Last Sin Eater is a great book- the dialect is a little hard to read at times.. but the story is amazing and really something to think about.

My sisters and I all have her books and trade them around..

Redeeming Love = the best book of all time. My college friends and I used to pass it around and then I gave it to my mom to read. I own numerous copies!!! I just LOVE it! I have not read the lion series…they looked a little different and I wasn’t sure if I would like them. If yall gave them a thumbs up though maybe I will have to give them a try. I LOVED “and the shofar blew” as well!

another one of my fav books by her!- And The Shofar Blew…

The Lion Series is wonderful. Some parts are kind of graphic and some parts made me cry, but holy, if any books series should be made into a movie- this would be it. inspiring and just downright amazing.

I still cry at the last few pages of RL and I’ve read it a million times.

I just think she writes about romance and tough stuff the way it should be written. No F-bombs, blantant sex scenes, and shock features that make their way into other books. At the same time they are not FLUFFY like other other authors… *sigh* anyway- its great to see there are lots of other Francine Rivers fans, i thought it was just my family who are obessed! (BTW.. the quiche looked yummy!)
