Lunch

Sunshine In My Bones

Since Ryan’s parents are out of town for the weekend and they live in a very lovely house right on the water in St.Pete, Ryan and I decided to go and lay in sun and relax over there instead of at the apartment pool in Tampa. We pulled our chairs out to the dock and just relaxed and read for a couple hours. Ryan jumped in the water and snorkled around a bit and we both did some swimming in the pool. I’m reading a book I just cannot put down: The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond. Highly recommend it!
Here I am posing with the scary owl on the dock

On our way to St.Pete, we stopped at the health food store to pick up lunch for me and a banana/coconut smoothie for Ryan (he got a sub later on but I was hungry around 11:30). I got a little plate of fun mixed things instead of my usual wrap. On that plate there is a little hummus, babaganoush, arame salad, whole wheat pasta salad with spinach, three bean salad and tabbouli. All mixed together it was perfect! I also treated myself to one of their amazing vegan chocolate chip cookies and had half right after lunch for dessert and saved the other half, which I ate mid-afternoon while in the sun. I also snacked on an apple once back at the apartment.

Ryan and I are going over to my parent’s house for dinner tonight. I believe the menu consists of grilled shrimp, steaks, roasted fingerling potatoes, macaroni and cheese and grilled veggies. My mom is so good about having something for everyone and macaroni and cheese is Ryan’s favorite. 🙂
