The Chill Factor

Goooooood mornin’!

I’m anxiously staring out my bedroom window at the sky right now. There’s a storm that’s supposed to hit today and I really need to squeeze in a ride before it does. However, its 40 degrees out! Biking in cold wind just isn’t that cool (or too cool, should I say)

Anyways, despite the chill I was craving a green monster this morning!

IMG_4787
I haven’t had one of these in forever! In the winter I just naturally crave hot meals….however this sounded awesome today.
I used:
1/2 scoop chocolate Amazing Meal (I’m out!) + 1/2 scoop Jay Robb protein powder
1 cup soymilk
1 frozen banana
HUGE handful raw spinach (probably 4 cups?)
1 tbsp peanut butter
3 ice cubes
***
Chugging a mix of black and green tea right now and about to go, go, go!

Good for you to even contemplate the idea of riding when it’s 40 degrees out….I don’t venture out unless it’s 65, I’m such a wimp. Never had to dress warm down here so haven’t invested in all the winter gear….How many miles are you up to? Stay warm…

I definitely need to pick up some spinach. Your post just reminded me as to why. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or what, but I always feel incredibly energized and vital after drinking one of those nurtrient-saturated bad boys.

With FOUR cups of spinach you still don’t taste any spinach at all?!?!?! I haven’t tried adding spinach to shakes yet and I just don’t know if I could get over the green color!
