Hi guys!
Hope you’ve had a great Sunday. Mine has been a mix of work and play 🙂 The winery was suuuper slow so I left early, had a nice hike through the big redwoods and then had a total girls night with Kelly, which might have involved this:
Le sigh. It’s a bad habit, but I’m sort of addicted. Let’s be honest here. But seriously, love this girl!
Girlfriends are the best, aren’t they?! 🙂
Anyways, back to lunch. I had Amy’s soup take 2!
SO filling!!!!! I was full for hours. And speaking of being full for hours, that breakfast combo of protein powder + maca kept me full for a solid 5 HOURS this morning….that never ever happens. Looks like it was a keeper!
I was so full for the rest of the day from the chili, that I really didn’t need a snack but had half this bar + an unpictured apple anyways…
Trees are friends! I got about a 45 minute walk/hike in so that was marvelous. I think Armstrong Woods is my favorite place YET in California…it’s just so peaceful and quiet. I love to go there and just be still.
And then, like I said, it was girls night! There was some of this….
And this!
Yum! We ordered a veggie supreme pizza and just pigged out. It was awesome. I’m now in carb coma and am very excited to pull on my jammies. 🙂
Hope everyone had a great day—see you in the mornin’!

November 29, 2009 at 9:14 pmLove carb comas! Pizza looks delish. How’s your ankle holding up with the hiking…looks like a scene out of Twilight…but not as dark and ‘fore-boding’ …and probably no vampires around either I guess…loving the wine – I’ve taken to a glass or two a night or a beer. Meh, it’s all good. C’est commes les Francais n’est pas 😉 Mangez et sois heureux…(I have no idea if I just said that right – eat & be happy?!…did you learn French when you were in culinary school over there haha…)

November 29, 2009 at 10:33 pmHey Jenna, on a protein note: I noticed that in your protein ice cream, you only used xanthan gum. Is there a reason you don’t also use guar? It gets creamier that way. I’ve been using them both for years and once you get the right ratio (way less xanthan), it’s heaven.

November 30, 2009 at 3:45 amI love girlfriend nights. Pizza and some form of cheap entertainment are a must. I love NYC pizza and all, but sometimes desperately crave the thick and delicious crusts that hail from Round Table Pizza. I highly recommend their gourmet veggie pizza, it has artichoke hearts on it! Yum!
Glad you had a great day!

November 30, 2009 at 3:50 amGirl’s nights are the best, and yes while we shouldn’t like gossip magazines, it’s hard not to want to read right? I can’t buy them..BUT my sister was visiting and she bought them. That’s totally fair game. 😉 I read the issue you read in line at the grocery store. That pizza looks delicious and veggie-full.
