Mornin’!
I slept in a bit this morning because I was up late writing my latest article for Health.com. Should be up soon! When I did wake up though, I sprung out of bed with visions of swiss muesli in my head!

It was delicious! Trust me and add lots of milk the night before…the oat bran literally just sucks it right up and my bowl was delightfully creamy this morning.

It wasn’t spot on the muesli I enjoyed at Miraval last week though…I think they added raspberries and blackberries instead of apples and pears for a more seasonal touch. Oh yeah, and the setting was different, too.

But I did break open the new Starbucks cinnamon coffee!

It smells a lot more cinnamon-y that it tastes and that’s fine with me. It actually smelled like snickerdoodles baking or something. Mmmmm

New OpenSky promo: FREE SHIPPING on anything for the month of July. Just enter the coupon code: “JulyFreeShip” at checkout. My favorite item in the store as of late is this handy dandy red notebook. I keep mine in my purse and jot down notes and ideas in it pretty much all day long. I’ve always been a more “pen and paper” girl, myself.
And lastly, I’m cooking a new epic dinner tonight. You really don’t want to miss this….

July 27, 2010 at 11:30 amLoved the ‘Shell Seekers.’
Off to the library for Irving Stone’s ‘Men to Match my Mountains’ about the opening of the Far West 1840-1900. (how I didn’t read don’t know as was always among our family books) and Cervantes ‘Don Quixote’. Think I didn’t read what many consider the greatest novel ever because am resistant to do/read something just because everyone else does. Plus saw Man of La Mancha so many times can even sing it. But I know the writing is amazing and will make Sancho Panza come alive and walk around the room.

July 27, 2010 at 11:33 amIn my opinion save her brain cells from Her Fearful Symmetry — it was one of the worst letdowns, a terrible novel.

July 27, 2010 at 2:59 pmI love Swiss muesli! One of my favorite breakfasts ever. I’ve actually added greek yogurt to my overnight mix in the past and it’s turned out great, if you’re interested in trying it out.

July 28, 2010 at 8:59 amLove your blog! Not sure I’ve ever commented before, but I’ve been reading for years. I was wondering how you found the books you read. Do you just wander the library until something sparks your fancy? Do you get recommendations from friends or family? Do you read a fabulous blog that gives awesome book suggestions? I love to read, too, and I buy loads of books as well as borrow from the library (and purchase from a superb library resale shop two blocks from my loft where old library books and slightly used donated books are resold to people like me), and I’m always looking for new ways to find great books. I’ve found a few reading this blog!
