Exercise/ Fitness/ Lunch

Well Oiled

I am now well oiled.

Yoga was so, so good. Anna knew about my back being a stiff board so while in child’s pose, she gently pressed down on my feet and it was a major low back release that felt delicious.

I was so calm in savasana, but per usual, that calm has quickly faded and I’ve been racing around all day. Have I mentioned how much I hate moving? I now realize that in the past year I have moved four times already. How can that be? That isn’t normal. I should probably be a professional by now and this should probably be a relatively simple move, seeing as I’m only going 16 miles away. However, it seems I have accumulated a lot of “stuff” over the past six months and now all that “stuff” is sitting in the middle of my floor (thank goodness I never bought furniture!).

I can’t wait to be all settled and have everything neatly put away so I can feel some sense of organization in my life once again.

Sigh.

I’ve also been packing for Wisconsin because I have an early flight out tomorrow morning. Here’s a random fact for you—I actually started this blog in 2007 while at my grandparent’s house in Milwaukee! Let me present my first post ever, titled simply “airport adventures”. I was much better at packing little airplane lunches back then….all I did for tomorrow was slap some peanut butter on an english muffin and call it a day.

Lunch today was tempeh (1/3 block raw!) with hummus and honey mustard on yet another english muffin with an apple and some carrots

Don’t judge. English muffins were on sale buy one get one free at Safeway last week!
After about three solid hours of cleaning, packing and running errands I had a protein shake for a snack

This is a half scoop of chocolate designer whey, 1 cup skim milk and half a frozen banana.
I’m going to some fancy shmancy work dinner tonight with the boyfriend and I’m excited because I get to wear my new pink banana republic dress that I got on clearance last month and drink delicious wine.
I shall return!

My partner is from Wisconsin and has some family in Milwaukee. I’ve been to WI once, but to the small town where his family is from and let me tell you, as an Indo-Canadian, that was a very new and exciting experience! Wisconsin has amazing agrarian culture…and amazing local cheese! Have a great time!
