I don’t know if I’ve ever been more excited for yoga as I am this morning!
Can you spot me in this photo?
It’s like where’s waldo…..but instead, where’s ELR?!
Embarrassingly enough, I stared at this photo for like four minutes before I noticed myself in it.

These photos were from the Three Dog Yoga photo shoot that took place in March. Remember? For some reason I am just seeing them now. I have this fierce look on my face that says I am in tree pose, don’t mess with me. My hair is dark. And randomly not up in a ponytail. Who wears their hair down in a power yoga class? Sheesh.
All that is besides the point though. I can’t wait to get on the mat and just stretch out this morning. I’m surprisingly not as sore as I thought I might be after my 45 mile bike ride yesterday, but my back feels like it needs to be oiled or something. Oiled, as in because it’s so stiff…..not really oil on my back. But I like oil on my back. Especially lavender essential oil. In a dark room with candles. Okay I’ll stop now.
Breakfast was a fitnessista-inspired breakfast cookie topped with greek yogurt for a little more protein staying power

I shall return with a freshly oiled back.

May 5, 2010 at 7:49 amI think you look great in those photos! I cannot yet hold the tree pose with my arms up but I’m working on it!
Mmm your breakfast cookie looks so good – I never thought to spread greek yogurt on top of it. Yum!!

May 5, 2010 at 8:05 amDon’t you love looking at past photos of yourself and saying: “What was I THINKING?!” Heh However, you look REALLY into it, I’m sure you had a great yoga session that day! π

May 5, 2010 at 8:08 amYou look like a yoga warrior!! Awesome!
Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman
May 5, 2010 at 8:12 amYouβre putting the rest of the class to shame with your tucked-in foot. And I was thinking the same thing: How can she do yoga with her hair down?
Carrie (Love Healthy Living)
May 5, 2010 at 8:13 amYou’re cute! I always look weird when I’m not looking directly at the camera and smiling. π

May 5, 2010 at 8:27 amBah I shoulda known I was being tricked, I was looking for the blonde hair!
Sarah for Real
May 5, 2010 at 8:30 amMaybe you left your hair down that day because you knew you were having your photo taken and you wanted to look like an amazing yogi-goddess? And aren’t you the super coolest person there in your tree pose. You’re the only one with your foot up on your leg like that! (I don’t do yoga but it looks like that’s the more difficult version of the pose?)
MMiller
May 5, 2010 at 8:32 amWhile you get a massage, remember to schedule one for a day or two after your race! I was also looking for a blond in the top photo! I need to make a breakfast cookie! I haven’t had one in months! I did put Kashi H2H in my Greek yogurt this morning with granola as well! It was really good! Thanks for all of the ideas Jenna!
Angharad
May 5, 2010 at 8:33 amYou do look pretty rocking in those photos. Well done. I thought you were the blond at first and was laughing because, well, she is kind of toppling over…then I realised it wasn’t you.
Yay for yoga! It keeps us sane.

May 5, 2010 at 8:33 amThat’s too funny you didn’t recognize yourself! Can backs be foam rolled? Or maybe the boy can be of help :).
Cynthia (It All Changes)
May 5, 2010 at 8:34 amI would die without my hair up in a power yoga class. But you look so focused.
And I totally knew what you meant by oiling your back. After my surgery I sometimes feel like that when my back doesn’t want to be limber.
Rachel
May 5, 2010 at 8:35 amThis post makes me want to do some serious yoga. I try to shoot for at least 1x a week, but with running and life, I don’t always fit it in.
I WILL this week!
Claire
May 5, 2010 at 8:37 amI love the yoga shots, so great and you just inspired me to do some yoga now! I think I am the last person to jump on the bfast cookie bandwagon…

May 5, 2010 at 12:48 pmwent to my first yoga class ever last night. not quite what i was expecting (lots of stretching and not so much on the poses, but it’s was the 45 minute class – maybe the hour class will inlclude more?) def going to keep going either way because i NEVER stretch! and it was quite relaxing π

May 5, 2010 at 2:52 pmYou look awesome! I wish I had those tree pose skillz π I’m good at balancing, but I can’t get my foot to stay above my knee for some reason, no matter how hard I try. Sometimes with yoga I think there are some things my body just isn’t meant to do and I give up, but I know that isn’t the right attitude!
