I felt like it was time for a “What’s In My Purse” update since it’s been a year since I last shared with y’all. I don’t think I have enough lipgloss, do you?
1. Wallet
2. Excedrin Migraine
3. Lipglosses….for every occasion
4. White Flower Oil (I dab this on my temples when I have a headache or bad allergies—it really helps!)
5. Brushie
6. Dry Shampoo for my mop.
7. Little Chewy Ginger Candies
8. KIND bars! I am in love with the dark chocolate and sea salt one.
9. Peppermint Tea <—I always keep some teabags with me, especially when I travel!
10. Gussy Sews bag! I keep all my lipglosses in this cute little pouch so they don’t get lost at the bottom of the black hole, aka my purse. I also have a larabar and hand sanitizer in there.
11. Little notebook for recipe ideas on the go + ELR business cards!
12. Say Yes to Carrots mini body butter. My BlogHer Food roomies turned me onto this stuff and I love it.
Happy Saturday! What’s in your purse today?

June 16, 2012 at 4:16 amMy purse essentials include: rose vaseline (for lips!), my keys, wallet, phone, a little notebook, pen and my kindle! Although putting in some sort of energy bars is a great idea for the long days! 🙂
Kristen @ notsodomesticated
June 16, 2012 at 4:19 amIn my purse: wallet, chapstick, lipgloss, brush, umbrella (gotta be prepared!), hand lotion, Advil, and usually a water bottle. 🙂

June 16, 2012 at 5:10 amI like to keep my purse light. It’s usually my glasses, wallet, phone, a few candies, and maybe a pen, or some lose change hanging around.
Oh and definitely an extra hair tie.
I find it so cute/hilarious how you have dry shampoo and tea bags. I wonder what your boyfriend thinks/other guys about everything in there. Do they understand?? haha
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin
June 16, 2012 at 5:11 amI love your wallet! Where is it from?
In my purse I have my wallet, epi-pens, Blistex lip chap, car keys, my work ID badge, a pen, Aveeno hand lotion, and my phone, my glasses and my camera!

June 16, 2012 at 5:33 amThat’s a really great idea to keep all the glosses together in a bag. I never thought about that – I’m always rummaging through my purse while I’m driving (watching the road, not the purse) & can never blindly find the right gloss. They all feel the same, so I grab one and it’s always the wrong one. Problem solvedddd.
Alyssa [SocraTeas]
June 16, 2012 at 5:47 amI love Yes to Carrot products. It all looks good. Especially that green juice!

June 16, 2012 at 5:49 amI LOVE kind bars! My favorite is the peanut butter dark chocolate protein one, it’s so good! I always have my little digital camera in my purse because you never know when you’ll have the opportunity to take fun pictures 🙂

June 16, 2012 at 6:15 ami love chewy ginger candies!! i always have a comb, my iPhone, lip gloss and tic tacs!
Liz@The Intrepid French Learner
June 16, 2012 at 6:28 amThe contents of your purse certainly look a lot cuter and neater than mine would!
I love dry shampoo. There only spray dry shampoo I’ve ever tried which didn’t make my hair feel MORE dirty is John Frieda’s. My favorite, though, is Oscar Blandi powdered dry shampoo. It works really, really, amazingly well, and has a lemon verbena smell.
I don’t usually bring teabags when I travel, but I always buy them one I’m at my destination. It feels really cozy to curl up with a cup of tea on the hotel bed at the end of the day… it makes the place feel much more homey. Plus, if I eat a quick breakfast in the room, tea makes my breakfast feel more substantial, somehow.
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat
June 16, 2012 at 6:37 amI always carry chewy ginger candies too! I love the ones by The Ginger People, but go through them way, way too fast! I’ve also got a bazillion lip glosses, my wallet (inside of which is business cards… and rarely any cash lol!) a pen, usually some old grocery lists which I’m great at making but usually fail to actually pull out of my purse in the store, my phone, hand lotion, and sanitizer from Bath & Body Works. Smells divine!
Stacie @ Snaps and Bits
June 16, 2012 at 6:37 amThis is a funny idea for a post. I have 3 purses going on right now. I find funny things (like tennis balls) due to my kids picking up treasures along the way!

June 16, 2012 at 6:42 amI haven’t found that flavor KIND bar yet but wil have to keep my eyes open. The Yes to Carrots cream is amazing. I pick it up at Target and add it to everyonone’s gifts.
No purse right now…heading out for a bike ride with a few dollars, my cell phone, a Luna bar, and sun screen in my bike pouch.

June 16, 2012 at 8:50 amMy mom said to always have a brush & lip gloss because you never know who you will run into. I have to admit, her tip has saved me from some embarrassing encounters.
I always carry around basil & cinnamon – weird, but those are my go to seasonings.

June 16, 2012 at 9:47 amThat little Gussy Sews bag is adorable. I need one of those! And I never leave home without chapstick. Carmex in a stick to be exact.

June 16, 2012 at 11:09 amWhat? No phone? Or do you stash that in your pocket? I’m at the age where I have to carry reading glasses…or I’ll mis-read the price on something!

June 16, 2012 at 12:15 pmI carry a giant purse because I also use it to carry my essentials for work. I always carry a reporter’s notebook, a voice recorder and a bazillion pens — although only about one or two probably actually have ink in them. I also like to carry a magazine or my Nook with me at all times, so I always have something to read on the go. And I’m never far without my honey lip gloss, bottle of aspirin and grocery list.

June 16, 2012 at 12:32 pmI used to be SO into lipgloss when I was younger. I didn’t even wear it that much…I just loved buying it! Now I’m past that (phew), but your purse contents reminded me of it 🙂

June 16, 2012 at 2:25 pmOkay can we just talk about lip products and addiction…I can’t get enough of them. I’m kind of scared to count how many I have in my purse…weird things in my purse measuring tape, sometimes skin calipors and from time to time a calorie king book. Dietitian and personal trainer so you never know when you’ll need em. But I do love me some lip products!!!

June 17, 2012 at 4:40 amLove your cards!! So excited to see the new site.
In the city I’ve been getting away with my iPhone, headphones, & credit card all in my pocket. But this weekend I went to gainseville for a friends 21st and home to vero, and carried around a rather large helmut lang bag. In the bag: 2 Mac lip glosses, my wallet, sunglasses, “Paris My Sweet” (about a food blogger obsessed with desserts that moves to Paris), trident gum, small bag of the granola I made for fathers day, & travelers prayer card from my mama.

June 17, 2012 at 5:31 amSo fun to see what you’ve got in there 🙂
I love to have tea bags with me at all times as well, but mine always seems to break open (which is why my entire bag smells of chai right now) – how to you keep yours from getting all crumbled?
My bags pretty much has the same stuff as yours (different brands/flavors) with the addition of band-aid, Nuxe hand lotion, phone, iPod, a pair of socks, a clean t-shirt and my lucky charm 🙂

Lipgloss, chapstick, wallet, brush, advil, nail file, business cards, cell phone, notepad, pen, pencil, highlighter, marker, keys to my parents’ house (I always forget them when I visit if I don’t leave them in my purse!), and a hair clip.
Speaking of lip gloss – have you tried the light up lip gloss from Artistry? It comes with a light in the wand and a mirror on the side of the tube so it’s super easy to put on anywhere anytime!
