I just wanted everyone to see what $20.00 can buy you! Today I went first to supertarget (they have quality products for CHEAP!) and I bought all my regular groceries/produce there. I only spent 20 dollars and I got a whole bunch. If I can afford to eat right on the huge budget that I’m on right now, anyone can! Here’s a photo of the produce I bought at supertarget. From there, I went on to whole foods for specialty ingredients.

We sound very much a like, I went to school at USF in tampa for exercise science and I am not back at home in NY going for my BS/MS in NUtrition, I have considered culinary school but felt I wanted to get my RD first. It is so great seeing other people have similar lifestyles, makes me feel more normal. I have struggled with conforming with other habits because I often times feel pressured or restrcited and it is always nice to se eothers like me.
Great job on the blog and I cant wait to try some recipes, I love to cook!

I debated going back to school for my RD as opposed to culinary school….in the end, culinary school won out because there were soooo many prereques i would have had to taken just to be considered for an RD program since i was an english major undergrad!! I know..lazy, lazy…but I’m hoping with my culinary degree I can combine my passion for nutrition and cooking AND writing! Congrats on going back for your masters in nutrition. That’s so great…I’m so glad more and more people are becoming aware with food and nutrition!
oh, and I, too, always thought i was “the only one” with my healthy eating habits (weighing food, reading labels, packing snacks) but its so nice to know there are more people out there like me! Don’t ever conform–with the majority of americans being overweight we must be doing something right 🙂
thanks for reading- I hope you like the recipes, more to come!!
