10 Apple Recipes to Kick Off Fall

My official favorite season has arrived!!

I LOVE fall…all things fall. Apples, pumpkins, SEC football, pumpkin beer, sweaters, boots, chili…the list goes on. I think it’s because I am such a fan of all things cozy. And fall is cozy! Every September, I go apple crazy. Usually, ever year we head to Apple Hill for a weekend and get our share of apple mania. However, last year it was sort of a hard trip – just really, really hot and I had a two month old and a two year old and at one point, Adam and I looked at each other and were just like we’re done here. Hah. That being said, we still might sneak in an overnight because I can’t imagine fall without an Apple Hill visit. Sometimes you just have to embrace the crazy. That’s my motto, at least, these days.

Here are ten of my absolute favorite apple recipes to get you in the kitchen this weekend! I think if I had to pick *just one* it would be the baked stuffed apple recipe. It’s my mom’s recipe and even though the photos from the post are sort of retro (cough cough – it was 2010), you just have to see past that and try these! They are really great alongside roast chicken or pork. Or for breakfast, obviously!

Chewy Caramel Apple Chip Cookies Bake up a batch of these easy cookies and you’ll win mom of the year award. They are so addicting!

Crock Pot Pork and Apples An easy weeknight dinner! We love this dish.

Apple Spice Bread with Apple Cider Glaze This is just so cozy and uses all my favorite ingredients: applesauce, molasses and lots of spices.

Apple Pie for One Have you ever craved an apple pie but just can’t commit? This is for you, friend. I got you.

Baked Apple Cider Donuts A slightly healthier version of the classic!

Apple Cider Cupcakes with Nutmeg Frosting This is a perfect cupcake in my world.

Baked Stuffed Apples with Dried Cherries and Walnuts  See above!

Whole Wheat Applesauce Loaf Cake  I adore this bread that triples as breakfast, snack and dessert. I mean, heck, it could even be dinner. Cream cheese frosting is a food group, right?

Almond Applesauce Bread Such a lovely recipe straight from my great grandma’s recipe box. This is old fashioned and wonderful!

Apple Braid  Apple strudel filling all wrapped in an easy homemade bread dough!
