Top 20 Valentine’s Dessert Recipes {a whole lot of chocolate}

Merlot Hot Fudge Sauce - Finals-8868

I’m trying not to overwhelm you with Valentine’s Day recipes but….it’s really hard. I love Valentine’s Day so much! It never mattered if I was single or not, Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I mean, what other day do you get a free pass to eat all the chocolate you want? I rest my case.

So yeah. Not to overwhelm you or anything, but here are 20 desserts that would be great Valentine’s Day options! And just wait — tomorrow I have one more treat for you. Sorry I’m not sorry.

We’re laying low this Valentine’s Day. We originally were going to get away this weekend but then decided that seemed, well, a tad frivolous considering our babymoon is right around the corner. I’m definitely going to be picking one of the below desserts to make though! I kicked off the third trimester the other day by waking up at 6am with an intense craving for chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. Someone help me. Or not…just send cake and I’ll love you forever. 🙂

Triple Layer Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting

Chocolate Cake with Pinot Noir Frosting

Chocolate Spice Cake with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

    Wonderful list to choose from! 🙂 When you mentioned you woke up craving chocolate cake with vanilla frosting I thought of this recipe: http://www.youaremyfave.com/2013/07/15/died-and-gone-to-chocolate-heaven-cake-is-my-fave/
    It is completely amazing, and since it starts with a cake mix as a base it is super simple. I use a different ganache recipe than hers though, because I wanted something with dark chocolate rather than milk, and with a little more thickness than hers. I hope I’m not using incorrect protocol for posting another site’s recipe, so just feel free to delete if you need to, but check out the recipe first! All the best to you and Adam and little cream puff. 🙂
