I thought since it’s Monday and all, y’all might be able to use another sweet dessert to get through the mid-afternoon slump.
These are every bit as gooey, fudgy and delicious as they look, and instantly were deemed “the best brownies EVER” when I brought them to my church group last week.
They would be the perfect Valentine’s Day treat (and yes, I plan to bake them again next week)!
Hop on over to The Tasty Kitchen Blog to see my step-by-step photo recipe post. I’m thrilled to now be a contributor in such a passionate and enthusiastic cooking commmunity!

February 7, 2011 at 11:57 amThose brownies look like they are literally beyond moist. (and i hate that word but there is no other word for those!) Or maybe underbaked….but seriously they look amazing. Beyond delish!
I need to have those. Now!
Thanks for teasing me π
jenna
February 7, 2011 at 12:34 pmI hate that word too!!! Adam and I were just laughing about that the other day. Sometimes you just gotta say it though! And yes, these brownies are (gulp) super moist. π
Abby
February 7, 2011 at 5:29 pmI have yet to meet someone that likes the word “moist.” At first I thought I was a weirdo because of it, but then I found out a bunch of other people hate it too (so I suppose I’m a weirdo for other reasons, eh?)
Moral of the story? The brownies look deliciously lubricated. Okay. That’s even worse. They look great π
Clizia
February 7, 2011 at 12:00 pmOMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you send me a couple now please? Or a dozen?!!

February 7, 2011 at 12:05 pmIn the “old days” I never would have wanted to try this…but I recently had some dark chocolate truffles with sea salt and they were A-MAZING!

February 7, 2011 at 12:36 pmThese look amazing! A little salt with sweet does so much to bring out the flavors! Sadly, my husband doesn’t like chocolate (crazy, I know), so I might just have to make these and give them out to passerby on the street.
Laura
February 7, 2011 at 12:37 pmThese look incredible! I want to make them and bring them with me to an event on Friday night but am swamped all week! Do you think if I make them on Wednesday night they will still taste yummy on Friday?
jenna
February 7, 2011 at 12:42 pmYep! Just bake ’em and throw them in the fridge. They’ll keep for a few days there! Remember to bring to room temperature though before serving!

February 28, 2011 at 7:49 pmHey Jenna – I made these this weekend (there is only one left and I’m trying to talk myself out of going back to the kitchen for it) but I was just wondering – did you add more salt after pulling them out of the oven? Mine didn’t have adorable salt crystals left on top by the time they came out of the oven, but were still totally delish.
