Today I got back to my roots.
What can I say? I saw the dough and went for it.
NO ONE MOVE! I’VE GOT THIS.
I hate to say it, but Anne was clearly trying to steal my thunder….look at her devious smile, plotting to take over the dough.
I took the job of homemade sweet potato ravioli very seriously. Very, very, very seriously.

What a fun time! And I’ve been loving learning about these omega-3 facts over twitter.
how fun!
I think I would have eaten most of that dough straight up, but with sweet potato I can imagine it was absolutely heavenly!!
Lol you look so focused making that pasta! I’m glad it all turned out ok (am now off to Anne’s blog to read her account of this!!!) The final result looked delicious, I’m glad you had a great time.

OBSESSED with this post! ROCK it girrrll.
Homemade pasta looks like so much fun. I always wanted one of those sheet making things. But I’m not patient enough to make it.
Too, TOO funny!! Looks like a terrific time and photos!!
I came back tonight from long walk on Carmel Beach loaded with FANTASTIC New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from local Southern Latitudes Wine Shop was prepared to savor–ultimate pairings in my head. Neighbors all on deck-so shared the wine with them and their guests. Everyone Up-In-Arms over Gulf Oil Armageddon….so the wine came in handy. Comments about BP unprintable. And no wine left for me with food. But–oh well. Saved me calories and I did my good deed bringing balms to the afflicted!!
Off to cook sans wine!!
PS–I really don’t LIKE to get back to my roots. Because not the same as current hair color!! Hmm.
Looks like so much fun!
Those ravioli look perfect!
Jenn
I love your blog! Plus, I like the fact that we both love to run and cook with friends!
This looks like fun! . . . On the fish oil note, Mom (an M.D.) started giving to to me a couple of years ago. The biggest difference that I noticed was my mood change. After a month or so, I felt happier and more lively. Also, my skin has benefited and is less break-out prone.
amazing post and great pictures
I would love to try that raviolo!
how fun!
That ravioli looks aMAZing. I really need to get me one of those pasta press thingies one of these days. I’ve done ok with a rolling pin and enough time for an upper-body workout so far, but that gets old.
Do you have a recipe? It looks yummy!
I love making fresh ravioli!! I took a class last spring and then I just HAD to own one of the rollers
Um YUM!! Delicious!! I love reading your side of this trip.. so funny!

You should do a step by step ravioli post!! Homemade ravioli is something which still needs mastering to me.
How fun!! That’s awesome you got to dig into some dough
Haha…I can relate! I’m such a take-charge kinda gal in the kitchen. It’s serious stuff.

Homemade ravioli is the best! It seriously can’t be beat. I’ve never made sweet potato ravioli but we used to make a wicked ricotta and spinach version back home.
