baked…and baked…and baked some more.
took two yoga classes back to back and now can’t feel my core. Core? What core?
killed my basil plant.
watched Charlie St. Cloud and deemed it one of the worst movies ever created except for the one quick scene where zack efron lifted up his shirt. wait no! just kidding…not really.
had sushi and champagne with my girlfriends.
called my grandma.
didn’t wash any dishes.
finished my book.
ate leftover roasted peaches straight out of the fridge.
made one of these. yummy.
bought my plane tickets to this….i’m scared.

July 17, 2011 at 8:44 amEstes Park is beautiful! I live in Denver and I am thinking of attending the weekend yoga conference. Are you doing the weekend one or the Baptiste 3 day-er?
jenna
July 17, 2011 at 9:01 amI’m doing the 3 day Baptiste intensive! I’ve never been to Colorado before so I’m really excited!

July 17, 2011 at 12:09 pmMaybe instead of saying “this” when you link – you could type out what your linking to?? Like ‘ attending the “baron baptiste intensive” ‘ – and still with link.
Just that not everyone will click on vague links..or browsers (like mine) can’t handle it 🙁

July 17, 2011 at 1:50 pmOh – and also – I do hope there’s a recipe coming for that cake picture!! 🙂

July 17, 2011 at 9:42 amLooking forward to hearing about your experience at the 3 day Baptiste program. After experimenting with many different kinds of yoga, I started practicing Baptiste inspired power vinyasa yoga in February and found that I really love it and that it is the yoga for me. I’ve been thinking about participating in one of his programs and would like to hear how it goes.

July 17, 2011 at 9:45 amI won’t be able to attend the conference in Estes park but if you have an extra day/evening in Colorado it would be fun to meet up!

July 17, 2011 at 10:36 amYour basil plant died?!! How’d that happen? What a tragedy. I am getting sad just thinking how when winter creeps up I’ll be out of fresh herbs. It pains me just to think about it!

July 17, 2011 at 10:49 amwow what a weekend!!!
Jenna, I would like to ask you if you could do a post regarding your yoga practice. How you got started, your journey so far, where you are now.
I’m asking because I’ve been following your blog for years now and I myself do yoga a lot. I just got “back” into Baptiste yoga after quite a hiatus… After feeling my life break into little pieces and overwhelmed by stress… Just a week into devoting myself into daily yoga practice again, I’m happy that I found ground. Yoga helps me in so much more levels than just the physical benefits. The feeling of control I have in life, the calm, the intuitive eating that naturally comes. I’m so happy that I have yoga in my life.
I understand you are busy but if you can do a post devoted to your yoga practice, I’d love to hear more about where you stand! And I’m sure a lot of those out there who do yoga or who are interested will love it too.
Have a great Sunday!
Karen
July 17, 2011 at 11:02 amJenna! I killed my supposedly ‘no brainer to grow’ basil plant this weekend too! Luckily I have a back-up that’s still going strong and hopefully will live out it’s natural life span so that I can support my basil dominant recipes. I so resent paying $5 for a package of basil at WF when I only need 1/4 cup.
The Baptise yoga intensive looks intriguing…lucky you!
You are SUCH a prolific reader, such an inspiration to just make the time; reading is so very rewarding!
Happy Sunday, Jenna!

July 17, 2011 at 1:46 pmWow, I’m so excited for you! 😀 That Baron Baptiste intensive will be absolutely incredible! Do you think you would consider becoming a teacher, or would you be just looking to intensify and deepen your practice? 🙂
My boyfriend Tom and I are going to Colorado on holiday later this year, I am SO excited for us too, lol! 😛 It looks incredbile…I can’t wait to practice yoga there too, as well as hiking and camping and biking…so fun!
This looks like such a wonderful weekend…in spite of the bad movie with the redeeming glimpse of the six pack 😉 xyx

July 17, 2011 at 1:57 pmHave fun on your trip with Baron! That will be sooo amazing!
Every time I’ve ever journeyed across the country or across the world on a yoga retreat, or a photography workshop, I have always left knowing so much more the subject at hand…but also experienced HUGE personal growth in sooo many other ways. Be prepared to grow and have a trip of a lifetime, in more ways than just yoga…I am thinking 🙂

July 17, 2011 at 5:40 pmJenna! Glad to hear you had such a great weekend! I love girlfriend get-togethers that involve delicious food and of course the necessary bubbly! They tend to be very rejuvenating happenings 🙂 Sorry about your Basil plant. I have killed countless culinary plants and have decided to stop torturing the little suckers until I actually have a real yard…. and time haha. AWESOME that you’ll be participating in the Baptiste power flow immersion… I would be scared too! I sometimes go to the Baptiste yoga studio in Cambridge but the classes are always so so so crowded… and they always kick my ass. I figure it’s worth the crowd now and then. Good luck to you girl!!

July 17, 2011 at 5:51 pmWow Jenna I must say that I have been a faithful reader
Of your blog for the past 3 years. The whole baptist thing just blinded me! I hope you voted no on proposition 8. I’m very sadden you seem so open and loving and the baptist doctrine is the opposite of that. Dissapoineted here but is your life not mine.
