A Strange Feeling

It feels very very odd to be sitting at my parent’s counter in my pajamas at 8:30 on a Monday morning. I feel like I should be somewhere else….maybe about to go to work?! My job has been very understanding about the situation though and I told them I would be back on Friday morning. I hate feeling like I’ve left them in a bind, but there really wasn’t anything I could have done. I’m tired this morning because I couldn’t sleep last night. This isn’t the house that I grew up in; my parent’s moved here while I was in college so I never really lived here myself. When I graduated I went straight to Paris and then moved to Orlando. I sort of feel like a stranger in my own house?

I made sure my brother got off to school alright (he’s a junior in high school) and then I made some oatmeal on the stove for myself with soy milk, banana, almond butter and a pinch of brown sugar. I’ve got tons of calls to make and errands to run this morning. I’m still trying to get in touch with my school to work things out for the next couple weeks. Wish me luck!

Best of luck with everything you need to get done! I hope things work out with school.

Thats how I felt all weekend staying at my parents’ house, I lived there for a few weeks when I first moved, but I feel very out of place there.

For all of us who were discussing running our first half marathons earlier this spring, I have to let you know that I completed mine on Saturday. It went really well, much less scary than I had imagined, and I finished in 2 hr. 37 min. Not fast, but we kept it at a jog for the whole time. If you haven’t ran yours yet, know that it won’t be as hard as you thought, and that you’ll feel great (but sore) when you’re done.

All the best for today and a good week. Sorry it’s a bit of a whirlwind for you, but I’m sure you’ll figure it all out-you seem very level headed and I’m hoping the best for you. ‘When life throws you lemons, make lemonade’ 🙂 happy monday, Jenna!

    Jenna –
Just got around to weekend blog reading and I’m so sorry about all the events and turmoil you are going through. You have a great spirit and attitude though – it’s really admirable. Hang in there.

Stacy – thanks so much! I’m running a half with my husband in early June, and we just did our first 10 mile long run yesterday! I’m so excited and really glad that yours went so well.

even though you might feel like a stranger, I’m sure you’ll literally feel “right at home,” soon :0) and don’t go into work on Friday, if you’re not up to it – you need to rest during this tough time, Jenna!!

Juno was such a great movie! I loved it – definately my sense of humor as well.

Have fun at Bikram! It is the perfect thing to do to get some focus back – even if only for 90 minutes – I hope it lifts your spirits!

Good luck with the whole school thing I hope everything works out for you with everything going on in your life right now.

Good Luck and enjoy Bikram. It’ll be so rejuvenating for you, especially at a time like this. Just close your eyes and imagine you’re back in a Bikram Studio in the middle of Paris.
