Hi guys!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday :). I had a great Bikram class then had the pleasure of eating lunch with the fabulous BethT and her hubby as they celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary! I took them to the lovely Healdsburg establishment ofCharcuterie!

I ate lunch here when I first moved to the area a couple months ago and literally have been thinking about the awesome smoked chicken salad ever since. It did not disappoint today!

The salad has mixed greens, smoked chicken breast, jicama, mango slices and grapefruit in it…all tossed in a dijon dressing. Really, really yummy!
And ummm yeah…….I may or may not have already broken my “no coffee for the month rule” because, well, Beth had never had Flying Goat (the horror!!!!) and she made me order a bittersweet mocha with her after we ate. 😉 Geez Beth, what a bad influence.
Later in the afternoon I snacked on some squash while I cleaned out my car and my casa:

And then had an early dinner of….almond butter and jelly before going to Church.

Don’t know guys..I was just reallyyyyyyy craving this for dinner. And it tasted SO good to me!
You know what else tasted really (really!) good?!

Um yeah. This would be a RAW almond joy from Cafe Gratitude. It’s made with coconut butter, dehydrated coconut flakes, agave, raw almonds and raw chocolate. It was probably one of the best things I’ve ever had and now I’m addicted. Note to self: figure out how to make these at home. Stat. That might be dangerous though……they are SOOOOO good!!!!!
I’m exhausted.

December 19, 2009 at 9:52 pmEverything you eat looks good, but this is the first post I’ve read so far where every single thing from every single meal has made my mouth water. Especially that killer salad 🙂

December 20, 2009 at 6:23 amI don’t blame you for indulging in the coffee – I think a life without coffee isn’t worth living. Haha, ok maybe that sounds a little too intense, but I DO love it 🙂
Is decaf OK for the yoga month detox? Or is there something in coffee besides caffeine that should be avoided?
jenna
December 20, 2009 at 7:29 amMegan,
Decaf is fine….or the occasional regular is fine too since I clearly did it and since I’m going to the city today I can’t promise I won’t get the BEST cappuccino EVER at the ferry building. This is why I suck at “rules”. Oh well.
Cyndi,
Personally, coffee makes me bloated and I was trying to “unbloat” myself.

December 20, 2009 at 6:42 amThat salad looks gorgeous (and delicious). I, too, get random cravings for PB&J english muffins. They always hit the spot.

How is your Church in the new location by the way? Do you go by yourself?
I was also wondering if you ever give yourself a full day off of writing to just “regenerate” or whatever haha!! I don’t what “you writers” do or call it 😉 Enjoy your day!
